Apple Annie's is still open. The gas station project did not go through. The thing to remember is that this place has a great little bakery up front.
Coming in to eat, especially to enjoy the warming bottomless soup varieties on a could day, it's easy to forget they have some marvelous desserts and beads to take home for later.
The food is still pleasant, but it's always a hot spot, so it may take a little time to get your order. They rarely disappoint, though. The specials are often a worthwhile seasonal choice.

Sad this place is closing soon. Had to make one last trip. Soups and food are very good. Always friendly staff. Mostly an older clientele. Just too bad they stopped selling and having their home made garlic ranch dressing. We used to buy it to go in bottles at each visit.
We just had lunch at your restaurant 10/02/25 @ 12:30pm and while we were eating had to listen to your manager, belittle the staff and scream at them behind the wall at a volume loud enough, where the entire restaurant could hear her. As your wait staff scurried out from behind the wall to avoid her belittling, she continued to yell about a tuna melt to what I assume was the cooks. Extremely unprofessional! When we were done, I asked the lady at the register if that was the manager or an owner and was told she was a manager. Braided pigtails dark hair black shirt. Ridiculous that she is aloud to speak to staff in that manner. Do better as a leader! I donāt know if she was just having a bad day or if this is the normal way that she talks to people if it is, I highly recommend replacing her with somebody who talks to people with respect. We just moved to the area and this was our first time in the restaurant. I would not come there again if she was working, I would turn around and walk out.

Chicken lemon rice soup has a lot of pieces of chicken that should be cut off and discarded when preparing chicken. A lot of veins and yucky pieces. š¤¢

It's really sad that they are closing in a few weeks. This place has been a staple in my family for a while now. Was feeling under the weather and wanted to grab a cup of chicken soup like when my grandma would get me on the way home from school. Man, they mailed it in guys. Watery broth, No freaking chicken what so ever and I scooped around the bottom for anything, and the noodles were hard. I'm sad to say it but it may be a good thing that this place is closing up for good.
