Cod was spoiled. I can't believe they couldn't smell the rank smell. My daughter had a few bites and got sick to her stomach. I took it from her and sire enough it was rotten.

This is probably the worst location I've been to. I stood right in front of the counter for legit 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. Not surprising considering the girl up front couldn't pull herself away from her phone long enough to do her job. Left without ordering... will never be back. You can get better chicken and service in a LOT of other places.

Just had my husband pick this up and started ea this to one fine blood pouring out of the chicken. This is under cooked and unacceptable hopefully I don't get sick from this and I will be reporting this to the health department because this is some chicken that was frozen that they just decided to deep fry because they didn't have enough and I hope to God I don't get food poisoning

The staff really made you feel welcome. The place was clean. But the food was a little undercooked for my taste. More color and crispness was also expected.

Can you please NOT have the people that take your order to have 10,000 facial piercings. It is entirely too distracting and gross to look at. Made me want to walk out. I did eat here. Food was ok. It was also very hot in the restaurant. Uncomfortable conditions.

While visiting Michigan, we were looking for something good but affordable to eat, and someone recommended Captain Jay’s Fish & Chicken — and let me just say, it did not disappoint!

We got a 5-piece chicken wing meal (with double fries, a drink, and bread) and a kids fish stick meal, plus a jalapeño and a peach cobbler — all for under $25. The real star of the show was the 5-piece wing meal, which I had tossed in the hot honey BBQ sauce for just an extra dollar. The sauce was really good — not as spicy as I personally would have liked, but still flavorful and delicious.

The chicken was incredibly crispy and seasoned perfectly, and the fries were nice and crunchy too. I asked for some lemon pepper sprinkled on top, and the employee happily did it — 10/10 flavor! Honestly, I couldn’t even finish it all in one sitting — and now I’m sitting here just salivating thinking about the rest of that crispy chicken I get to eat later tonight!

The service was also excellent. A very sweet, helpful, and funny lady (I didn’t catch her name, but she was Black — it’s cool, I’m Black too haha) greeted me warmly and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere inside was clean, laid-back, and welcoming.

If you're looking for somewhere with great food, great service, and great prices, definitely check out Captain Jay’s. The value you get for what you pay is totally worth it. After a long day of driving, it was exactly what we needed — I’m so glad we stopped in!

I ordered a 10 piece whole wings and it took 33 minutes for my food to get done, there was no one else in the lobby besides the workers when I came in, and there was 2 people that were with each other waiting for there food, I came here before and it did not take this long for my food to come. I was on break for work and it took my whole break. I got a write up from my job for this.

Terrible customer service the 2 women at the front don’t greet you they move slow they are all standing in the back not doing anything they are rude when they answer the phone as well
