high price for non quality meat products specifically on 3oz,85g bags 'on the picture of bag they show nice cuts and when you open the bag it is just disgusting cuttings and bad smell of it

First and foremost this place was called Nitsches then Dearborn bought them out and now they are basically getting rid of all the German meats. The ladies are fantastic the ones that have been there for a long time. The newer ones need to listen and understand what we want. Keith the butcher was fantastic but he left so hopefully the new butcher will understand what the customers need are. This place is changing in a bad way not a good way. And I should add I have been coming here since 1996 and my parents long before that.

I rolled in to Dearborn Sausage Saturday 11/09/24 in the early afternoon to grab two subs and some bacon to take home. I need to brag about the great service I got. The minute I walked in the door, a friendly employee saw there were no handbaskets and ran to get me one without me asking him. I walked over to the sub station to order, and the young lady who made my order was friendly, quick, and man, did she ever make me a killer BLT sub! Best one I have had! And my dressings were on the side as requested. I then moved over to the meat counter to pick up some ham slices and ham shanks for soup. Whoever the young man was assisting me - pay him whatever you need to to keep him! I was eyeing the shanks that wouldn't be as good for soup as some other others; he pointed this out to me and explained why. Then he went on to choose 3 meaty, super nice shanks for my soup, along with the some slices I needed for another recipe. Friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, just a stellar employee. Even when I went to pay, the cashier was friendly and chatty. I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had at Dearborn Sausage. I didn't catch any of these four employee's names, but I was in there around 2pm if that helps. In these times when nobody seems to want to work, these four were absolutely outstanding. Bravo!

If you ask them about ingredients or nutritional information they look at you like you’re retarded. The other day I asked them what was in their Hungarian sausage and she says “uhhh I don’t know! Pork, spices.” Yeah sure ok I guess that’s the ingredients in the polish sausage as well so just call everything sausage.
