I had a really nice experience at the National Coney Island on the 11 Mile and Gratiot location! I had a typical coney dog and bowl of chili, which tastes just like being a part of Detroit culture and cuisine! Chili and coney dogs were certainly great, and service is very good.

While the establishment offers a drive-thru option, it’s puzzling that it’s restricted to lunch hours which is an odd choice that limits convenience for breakfast customers. Unfortunately, the food itself did little to redeem the experience. The eggs were noticeably overcooked, the pancakes lacked both flavor and texture, and the omelet suffered from poor execution. The requested cheese was merely placed on top rather than incorporated throughout. Overall, the meal reflected a lack of attention to detail and consistency. Regrettably, this visit did not inspire confidence for a return.

Food was okay very limited menu. Our waiter spent most of the time sitting and chatting with someone in a booth. Only came to check on us 1 time. We were sitting with no food or drinks for over 10 mins waiting for the bill.

Always consistent menu items. Had some great chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs with my grandson Apollo after wrestling practice... Service at the front counter was enjoyable

I went in for chilli cheese fries and Brian the grill cook was phenomenal and the food looked great and was amazing!!! Thank you so much Brian for the great food and to Kate for being super nice!!
