Curly Horse American Bistro

The food is good and the service has been nice, but recently the management has decided that they will turn customers away during electric forest. The issue I have here is that they couldn't be bothered to post a notice on their website, their Facebook page, or on the double JJs(the resort on which this establishment is based) Instagram page. I suspect I will not be returning.

Atmosphere is amazing, it is above a golf course and a really cool place, food was pretty good and the 2 story's are amazing a long with the roof

Everything about this place was great. It's a little bit in the middle of nowhere. But it has a very nice menu, the prices are reasonable, our waitress was very good. We are going to look at having a golf outing there.

Went for Easter at 12:30. They didn't have a single egg in the buffet nor could you order a custom omelet. It was not a Easter brunch like they have had in the past, has gone greatly down hill. Our family plans on skipping going here next year. The food selections was terrible. 5 things of food, it use to be 8 maybe 9. At least the deserts were good.

Was 5 starts under the old ownership of Sundance Saloon & Steakhouse. Now called Curly Horse American Bistro and with new ownership it's a 1 star, at least for the buffet part.

We live close to JJ so we are there often. The resort is beautiful and unique! The Curly Horse provides patrons with awesome views coupled with fast friendly service and great food at reasonable prices! Love it!!

Okay so... I grew up on the west side of Michigan and had never ventured to the Double JJ... WILD... but on top of that, I had heard so many GREAT things about Curly Horse (Sundance) we've been here three times... in two days... I'm obsessed. LIKE... I have not even left yet and I'm trying to plan my next weekend here. Ryan and April at the bar were entirely too kind to me when I was a menace that wanted something not on the menu. Ryan whipped it up so quickly and it was so damn good... I hardly remembered the embarrassment I was on the mechanical bull moments before. I but seriously. Go to the Curly Horse. Let the kids go wild all day at Gold Rush and then treat yourself. I rarely order steaks when we go out, because they're never as good as my husband can grill (don't tell him I said that)... but AGAIN, so damn good here! Hit the bar up for some grown up juice and ask for Ryan and April!! They're the best. Truly.
Thank them both for me, because my kids and I were just ridiculous... bless them and my husband for dealing with it.

New Year’s Eve dinner with my husband was 5 star dining! Absolutely delicious! Great menu with a good selection for not only great food but pricing too!

The atmosphere and views are spectacular. Our dining experience was excellent. Delicious food and superb service. We were very pleased that we ventured off the beaten path to visit this restaurant. The resort in which it is situated is extremely beautiful. I highly recommend dining here.

Celebrated our son’s teen birthday and it was perfect! The food was delicious, the service exemplary and the views were beautiful. Truly, the staff went above and beyond!!
