“I attended the White Lake Area Women's meeting at Sundance this past Monday. The banquet staff there that evening were awesome! We had a large group with many to serve. Staff were upbeat, courteous, very helpful and the food was off the charts awesome. Best beef dip and onion rings ever. Truly. Kudos to the bartender, weight staff and cooks. You all outdid yourselves!!!”

“OH MY GOODNESS. Is all I can say. Went there for the first time and had there brisket burger. I'm not a fan of onions in any form after asking to not have them on my burger they came out and informed me that the aioli had onions in it as well and offered a suitable substitute. Amazing The brisket is smoked in house and has just the right amount of smoke and it melts like butter in your mouth. It has truly been a long minute since I had burger this good. The staff was wonderful and the environment is absolutely inviting. I wish I had photos to share but I did not want to put my food down even for you.?Vegetarian options: They have a falafel burger that also sounds amazing.Parking: Plenty of parking for there establishment.Kid-friendliness: It looked as if there were little dinosaur figures placed around the dinning area to keep your little ones busy.”

I live right around the corner and find Pekadill's an easy short drive for me which gives me a reason to have a meal and to have desert.PatriciaPS: I am an afficinado of ice cream .... their dark red cherry ice cream is my favorite , but any flavor will do it for me.They have a beautiful outdoor garden of which the owner maintains this area herself.This garden makes your meal with friends and family very enjoyable !”

“This place is amazing. Food prices were very affordable and everything is home made. It is also like stepping back in time to an old soda shop. The owner cooks all the food from scratch and she is super friendly. We went there every day for brunch. My favorite place to eat in Michigan.”

On Sunday mornings, especially in the summer, it gets tricky to park. “Best pizza in West Michigan hands down. Made to order out of super fresh ingredients. One of the top five pizzas I've ever had. Many other great entrees and appetizers as well, especially recommend brisket and mac and cheese or the brisket pot roast. Servers are prompt, attentive, and super friendly. Lots of great specialty cocktails. I've lived in West Michigan for over 20 years, and I can honestly say this might be my favorite bar/pub type eatery in this area. Highly recommend!”

“We took a random day trip to The Lake and were in the mood for ice cream. Stopped at Country Dairy because it was the only ice cream place we could find open on a cool rainy March day. It was literally the best ice cream I've ever had. It's so rich and creamy. The clerk at the counter was super nice and helpful.”

“My travels have brought me to the small town of New Era a couple weeks ago. It was the only place in town. When looking online at the menu, it looked short, but I was hungry so I gave it a try. They specialized in grilled cheese and tomato soup. Why not? It was a rainy day.This place did NOT disappoint. They brought me this huge stuffed grilled cheese sandwich with piles and piles of ham on it. It had cream cheese on it, which was questionable, but was surprisingly delicious! At $14 for a grilled ham and cheese and tomato soup, simply the best I've ever heard..and that's comparing against a grilled cheese served in Switzerland that was claimed as being a world renowned grilled cheese and one of the best in the world. This place beat them out, hands down.While I most likely won't be back to this little town, I will miss this gem in the middle of the Mid-northern Michigan wilderness. Stop and try it. It may be a couple miles off the highway, but it WILL be worth it!”

The first Christmas I was unable to spend without my children had me at my lowest the patron and the bartender brought my spirits up. Amazing place with great atmosphere. “Dairy Treat is a local favorite for all things ice cream. They are known for their "monster" shakes, which are very big milkshakes. They have slushees, soft serve, hard serve, sundaes, some concession like food items, dole whip, floats etc. They serve Country Dairy soft serve which is outstanding because not many ice cream shops do! They have picnic tables with umbrellas in front of the ice cream shop and they also have a rooftop seating area with plenty of seating. They have picnic tables and umbrellas up there too. It is a nice spot to enjoy a sweet treat and watch the sunset over Whitehall. They do accept credit/debit cards now. There is free parking but it can get crowded so some people just park in the Wesco parking lot next door because it's easier. A great family owned ice cream shop.”

“Sawyers is brewery at night & coffee shop in the mornings! Yummy lox bagel for breakfast. Nighttime has great live music. No onsite food at night, but you can bring in food, food truck outside sometimes or dog n suds across the street will deliver. Great locally owned place, owner often on site. Super friendly.”

“Father in laws favorite place. He thought they were closed drove past it and it was open so we had to stop. I have never been before. We order a mama whoppa sub and the papa whoppa sub. It was amazing. And super filing couldn't finish the whole sub. The kids loved it too. My father in law was super happy about it still being opened. Just wish they had better hours. “Pub 111 is a notch ABOVE great bar food. Their menu has more to offer than just your basic pub burger, and everything I've tried has been AMAZING. Their new drink menu has so many great options (the mini mixer is dangerously delicious) and the staff is always wonderful - especially the bartenders! We love going on the weekends for the live music too!”

Remembered a friend said her son worked in a salon and she ended up scheduling one for me at Kate's Place. Oh my goodness, best pedicure EVER and so appreciated how hard Crystal worked to hydrate my always cracked feet. Plus, the music and conversation was awesome. Had so much fun, didn't want to leave. I come up once a year and am hoping they'll be able to squeeze me in every time from now on.”
