“I’ve always wanted to try food from Verona Inspired Italian! I regularly check out their weekly specials on Facebook and couldn’t wait to finally try them out. This was my first visit to the restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious and amazing. We started with the bread and butter- yes, we actually started there because it was that good. We even asked for another basket! Then came the Eggplant Tower, and wow - it was fantastic. I’m a big fan of eggplant, and this dish was perfection: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and pickled onion. You really need to try it to understand how good it is. For the weekly special, we had the Emperor Red Snapper. Absolutely incredible. The Tomahawk Pork Chop and the steak were both delicious as well. Our cocktails and beer were spot-on. Service? 5 stars. Thank you Joy M. The menu has so many tempting options, and we definitely want to come back and try more. P.S. That bread? We took another portion home. So good.”

“This place has been around for almost 20 years and this was our first time. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and they offered us a private room, “The Hop Room”. We can’t say enough about the food, staff, and overall experience. We’re beer nerds, so our party basically tried every beer on tap. I should have gotten a growler of the Disco Lemonade. All of the brews were SOLID. Between burgers, pizza, apps, and their craft sodas, everything was on point. Not one person in our party had an issue with their food or drinks. Except for a small sample of their grapefruit mead. That’s a no from me dawg. But seriously, everything and I sincerely mean EVERYTHING else was on point. Our server was fantastic and on the spot with everything. Show this place some love.”

“We ordered carry out hibachi from here. The steak, shrimp, veggies and noodles were all wonderful. The fried rice, however, was weirdly crunchy. Overall I would try it again. The staff was friendly and repeated the order back to me to ensure everything was correct.”

“Went there yesterday with my husband for our anniversary dinner. The decor and atmosphere is lovely. We had a drink at the bar before getting a table for dinner. All staff were super friendly and courteous. I had the Perch Piccata which was amazing. It was a very large portion so I had plenty to take home for another meal. My husband enjoyed his Bolognese which was also a very large portion. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go back soon.”

“I came in today to pick up a meal for me and my brother. Was by far the best service I have ever received at a fast food restaurant. I came in around 7:30 PM and the young lady working the register was really nice and took very good care of my order and gave me a bunch of sauces. She definitely deserves a raise. I definitely would recommend taking a visit there and I most definitely will be returning.”

“Still just a great place to hang out. We had a very big group. They easily accommodated us. Multiple checks were no issue. So different people could come and go with no issue. They have a very wide range of beverages to choose from.

I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype! Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work. Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her! Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation. Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. I called the restaurant and the owner made our missing pizza and delivered it personally and added a salad, breadsticks and cannolis for no charge. This is the best customer service I have seen in a very long time. We will definitely be giving them our business in the future! And the pizza was delicious too!”

“Omg! Can’t say enough great things about this bakery! I believe this bakery is under new management as of Fall 2025 so keep that in mind when reading older reviews. I recently ordered a customized cake for a 40th birthday party and the process was so easy from start to finish. I texted with the bakery to explain and send pics of what I was looking for which was super convenient. I really appreciated their prompt and professional process. The cake turned out 10 times more beautiful than I could have even imagined. Pictures truly don’t do it justice! Everyone at the party was awed by how gorgeous it was. BUT how beautiful the cake was is not why I’m writing a review. Every person at the party (about 50 people) went NUTS over how delicious it was!!!! It was the talk of the party! The most fluffy and decadent birthday cake I’ve ever had, the frosting was perfectly sweet but balanced, and the middle cream layer was heavenly!! We offered some to a table nearby and they ended up coming over to the party later on to get details on where the cake came from. I wish I had business cards to hand out because the cake truly was the star of the party! I also need to say that the price was more than fair for how big the cake was and the insane detail they put into decorating it. I can’t wait to order more cakes in the future!”

“Another small hole in the wall restaurant that are always far better then big places.
Only open for breakfast and lunch and nearly always a line to get in. Locals love the place tucked in behind a drug store.
Food is great and you get a lot which makes the slightly higher prices easier when you have enough for a second meal later.
Still a regular spot a year later for the reasons above.”

“I came in expecting the usual dive bar scene — sticky floors, cheap beer, neon signs buzzing in the corner. Instead, Rachael and Amy treated me like I had just bought the place. I ordered a regular draft and somehow it felt like they had tapped a keg exclusively in my honor.

Halfway through my second beer, Rachael joked about “opening a tab,” but what really happened is Amy slid me a crisp stack of bills and told me not to worry about it — like the bar itself was sponsoring me. By closing time, when most people were stumbling toward their Ubers, they casually mentioned my private helicopter was waiting out back behind the dumpsters. They then flew me across Italy.

If you want five-star luxury while drinking a $3 domestic, this is the only bar on earth where that’s possible. Dive bar? Maybe. But with Rachael and Amy behind the counter, it feels like Buckingham Palace with better beer.”

“Took our first trip to this place just last night. Has a little bit of everything for those not looking to stay seated during dinner. Food took forever though and was decent. Waitress was a little lost with constantly asking our table of 6 what they ordered and whose drink went with whose order. Other than that the atmosphere was pretty cool. We played some cornhole, which was decently priced by the hour ($10). Plus they had classic arcade games, free to play like Ms Pac Man, Galaga, Frogger, and Donkey Kong along with 90’s classics like Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz and House of the Dead. Plus over a dozen pinballs. Arcade area was a sight to see since most places now use carnival or ticket games. They also had a poker room which was full. Did not see any pool tables, darts or disc golf so not sure if those get removed during poker night. I’d consider coming back but not during their busier times. It was more than half capacity but id imagine an even further delay on food or your wait staff being really lost handling more than 20 orders at multiple tables. Either way I’d recommend it as long as you aren’t really hungry going in or don’t like huge crowds.”

We go to their dessert store on Van Dyke whenever we’re out that way and they are just as amazing.”

“Good gracious, let me tell you about Salerno. First, these portions are ENORMOUS. I can eat 2-3 meals on a $7 portion of anything on their menu. Second, it taste soooo good! We did a self guided tasting menu, spent $60, fed 3 adults with healthy appetites for no less than 3 meals each and we still have left overs. Third, these owners were soooo nice. So friendly on the phone, super quick preparation, so kind when we picked up. Yes, yes and yes!”

​I have to give a humongous & warm thank you Biggby Coffee in Shelby Township. The staff here is absolutely fantastic—they are so great and friendly every single time I visit. I'm one of those customers with a pretty complicated order, and they always handle it with a smile and get it exactly right.
​What I love most is the consistency. No matter what drink I order, it always tastes exactly like it's supposed to. Whether it's a hot latte or a cold brew, the quality is always perfect. It's the only coffee shop where I know I'll get a great drink and an awesome experience every time.

I had the egg noodle dish with chicken and my husband had the drunken noodles with chicken and everything was great! I’m weird about chicken at Thai and Chinese spots but the chicken here was very good , the vegetables weren’t over cooked and tastes fresh! I’m very happy to have found a place this good so close to our house.”

“**THIS REVIEW IS FOR LEBANESE GRILL ON 21 mile Road, I noticed some of these reviews are for a restaurant with same name but at a different location.This is my second time here today and it's thanks to my son who had me stop at the corn dog place near by that I discovered this gem, and I must say this is the best lebanese restaurant ive been too so far. First time I ordered a beef shawarma I got it to go since I dont live in the area and still had an hour drive home and hadnt eaten all day and i must say i wasnt too impressed, dont get me wrong it was good but was warm at best, so after a few bites i brought it home put it in the fridge. Later, I decided to eat the rest so i reheated it a bit and WOW what a difference it was soooooooo good. So here I am today again and reordered the beef shawarma and also decided to try something else so i ordered the KAfta sandwich. This time i had just drove 2 hours back from a dr app and hadn't eaten all day since i had minor surgery in the morning, so I broke open the Kafta and WOW so hot and fresh, with the perfect balance of veggies, sauce, and meat with just the right amount of herbs/spices. I would highly recommend this place, I don't live anywhere close to this restaurant and even with the many choices of restaurants in the area, i will be ordering from here only when in the area!”

“First time trying Detroit style pizza and we knew we wanted to try Buddy’s. We weren’t totally sure what to order, but luckily Dejuan our server was incredible! He gave us wonderful recommendations, great service , and he was just fun! We had a delicious meal and a great time. We had 2 different kinds of pizza and the famous antipasto salad and it was all so good! So much so that we are going back tomorrow for more! And the manager Rondah stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and we let her know how happy we were with our entire experience, a true testament to what a great job she is doing running everything! I’ve taken them a couple times recently and I have to say that not only is the food great, but the staff is also amazing. The price for the pickles is $1.49, I love the expiration date . You don't have to rush & consume.

The cazones are delicious, especially the steak and mushrooms, or the steak without the mushrooms.

“I went to a wedding this weekend that had the wedding cake and desserts made by Militello's Bakery. To say that the desserts were amazing is an understatement. I've never had a wedding cake that was made with real whipped cream. I grabbed a piece of cake thinking I would only have a couple bites like I normally would do at a wedding, but landed up eating the whole piece. i highly recommend them for all your dessert and cake needs!”
