Mexican Village Restaurant Reviews
We took our daughter and her boyfriend to dinner at Mexican Village and had such a great experience. Manuel really stood out and made our evening memorable.
At one point, he asked me if the young man with us was my son or my daughter’s boyfriend. When I told him he was her boyfriend, Manuel went out of his way to tell me how much he respected the way I treated him and told me I was a great dad. Great authentic Mexican food!
Tried something new, the Mexican Sandwich. Would definitely get it again. Large chunks of tender beef with a gravy sauce. Pay the extra to get the melted cheese on top.

Mexican Village Restaurant is a must-visit for Mexican food lovers in Detroit. With outstanding dishes like delicious spinach verde enchiladas, beef tacos, steak and chicken fajitas, and Burrazo, this place truly shines. The margaritas are fabulous, and the staff is friendly and attentive, with drinks and chips refilled without asking. Despite the usual wait, this restaurant is worth it, especially for its long-standing reputation. The village combination never disappoints; the cheese enchilada is cheesy, the tacos are perfectly cooked, and the tostada is crispy with just the right amount of beans, lettuce, and cheese. The chicken flauta is also cooked to perfection, and extra sour cream and sliced jalapeños are great additions. The "hot" salsa is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for a satisfying Mexican dining experience, especially for those who appreciate well-prepared chicken fajitas served with sour cream, Pico de gallo, cheese, beans, and rice.
