If you love Mexican food, this is the place to go. It has a wait most of the time, but it is worth it. The margaritas are fabulous too. Staff is friendly and welcoming. So many new places are popping up but they just don't compare to this place. Highly recommend!!

It’s always good here. The wait is never really that long and the food and drinks are always great.
Horrible experience. Rude staff, cold food, long wait time. I would not recommend eating here ever! We alerted the management of our poor experience and were asked to leave. Worst dining experience ever!

Don’t, just don’t! I have been a raving fan of third place for over a decade. I have regularly hosted family meals and business associates at the Shelby Mexican Village Restaurant. Recently the service has been off, the hostess rude (to my grand children) and today’s debacle of waiting 93 minutes for cold soup, hardened cheese, and entrees made with the wrong protein. I asked to speak to Miguel (I believe owner/manager) who is service oriented and a pleasure. Instead, we got Nancy, saying she was the owner. She took no responsibility for the food temp or errors, wanted to haggle over the number of minutes we had waited (with 6 kids in tow, you know that number!) and shook her finger at me. When my sweet daughter reached out toward Nancy saying please don’t speak to my father disrespectfully, Nancy told her not to touch her and if we felt that way we should leave. When my daughter said the kids had waited over 90 minutes and they needed to eat, Nancy threatened calling the police. Wow!I believe in second chances, but they won’t get it from me. Crossing the line, Nancy, makes Mexican village a no go for this well-tipping, loyal patron!

Worst dining experience that I have ever had. Waited an hour and a half for food, staff was incredibly rude, and our food was cold and prepared incorrectly. Management was rude to my elderly father and children. When we expressed concern over our experience we were asked to leave. The manager scared my small children. Horrible place!
