My father and I went in today for the 5 year celebration and our server Tajma was amazing. She knew the beers like the back of her hand and we had a great conversation about local breweries and beers we are huge fans of! Keep up the great work. Also the wings were phenomenal honey sirracha delicious, and the platter had so much amazing stuff we had to take a lot home! We will be back.

I've been many times today was my worst experience.
My friend and U arrived at 11:45 pm for lunch the server took are order.
20 mins later she came back to apologize because she didn't turn in our order so she took my beer off the bill.
She comes back 15mins later and told us it will be out in 4 mins.
25mins later still nothing!
We never got anything!
Very poor service.
I won't be back.
Still being hungry we went to Kruse & Muer on Woodward and what a world of difference.
We were seating right away even though it was packed inside.
The server took both our orders our appetizers came out right away and 10 minutes later our entries came out.
Kruse&Muer is where we will be going for now on.
Great service, Great food.

Service was awful took 3 hours for a salad (part of a large group) but 3 hours for a side salad is ridiculous.

How can management not properly staff their restaurant when they have four large parties and food is coming out slowly. Over half the individuals in our party were done with their food. Please help me understand why we provided the list of food with the names prior to so that the food would be brought out in a timely manner but nope folks are still waiting. This is not good business. I will not patronize this restaurant on my own! Horrible service!!

Good experience. Food is usually good. Has a great beer section, tons on tap. Friendly staff

The service that WAS there was good. However, whoever the manager is there needs some serious help. Bar side was completely full, restaurant side was mostly full and they had one bartender trying to do all drinks and half the food. Food was an hour wait and drinks were about the same. Not a single person even attempted to look like they were helping the bartender with drinks, the manager was back there for 10 seconds poured one beer then left. Food was no better than you would get at an Applebees or similar but wait is much longer. Would not recommend unless staffing is improved. Shame on whoever scheduled that poor bartender. Two hostesses and one bartender is laughable

Everything was a nice experience. My waitress was wonderful (Tajma) she helped me decide on a draft beer that I never had before and she was right, I really enjoyed the choice. She was very friendly and understanding that I had never experienced a Blonde draft before ( I asked for Bud Light)lol and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back❤️

I ordered a carry out Michigan Cherry Salad with grilled chicken and the chicken wasn't in the order when I got home. In addition, the girl just handed me the Salad without a bag, I had to ask for it. I called but I was hung up on. Usually the service there is great, maybe more training in service is needed.

The Brewery Discovery Tour continues. Quite possibly the last 🏍-based trip of 2024 (Halloween is this coming week. It's only 54° F today).
I really enjoyed the northern location of Brown Iron so this seemed a good stop.
First, and foremost, this is a restaurant. Brewery is in the name but that is secondary at this location from the instant you walk through the door.
They have 86 beers available. Only 11 are theirs. And they don't offer tastings like any actual brewery does.
Ok, that doesn't have to detract from the experience and most of the brews not made in-house are area local: MI, MN, IL, WI. Others range from DE & CT to CA & CO. Quebec shows up for a few, as well.
The list breaks down by general styles: stouts, darks, ciders, sours, IPAs, gluten-free, non-alcoholic & easy/easier drinking. The last range from Helles to Oktoberfest to Pilsner and red ales.
The food smells quite good. Notes of BBQ waft through. But I checked the menu when I was checking the hours last night. The pictures and descriptions sound great. But the prices are a bit high. Too high for a casual lunch at a brewery for this guy. I ate lunch first.
It is a bit loud here though not annoyingly so. I can hear louder bits of conversations occurring 75' away. The music is a touch loud, a bit too pop & upbeat for my tastes but hard rock & metal aren't really a good choice for Yuppies for which this is a gathering place.

Parking: It's a big ol' shopping center next to the hospital, there's a ton of room

Kid-friendliness: I'd steer the wee ones away from the beer & cocktails but it's as welcoming as any other upscale restaurant

Wheelchair accessibility: Good amount of room and a smooth concrete floor. The bar side is all high-tops so you'll likely want to find a spot on the more obviously restaurant side (turn right)

Drinks were good, BBQ was ok. The others I went with enjoyed it, but I do my own bbq and smoked meat so for me it was not as good as I hoped.
