Employees here don’t want to be here and are very lazy and rude. Lamb meat was okay. Wouldn’t go there again.

A coworker picked up a group order and the lamb shawarma was horrible. It was greasy, gristly, and possibly spoiled. I took one bite of the sandwich and had to immediately spit it back out into a napkin. I accidentally swallowed a little, and it came back up an hour later. That lamb was so funky that Bootsy Collins played the bass line for it. It was the worst thing I've put in my mouth in the last decade.

House salad was made with no effort whoever is responsible for cutting the vegetables may need a little more training, all veggies are in CHUNKS how about cutting them up in a little smaller pieces.

I placed a carry out order today around 1:50 (as I do on a regular basis). I came in around 2:00 to pick it up, I could see my order bagged on the side. There was a young lady at the register who was scrolling through her phone but never stopped to greet me. She looked over at her co-worker as if to say “you gonna take care of him?” Her coworker says “he just walked in. The young lady at the register could’ve took 10 secs to either say someone will be right with you or just ask what I needed and this hand me my bag so my food did not get cold.

Lamb shawarmma was beyond horrible. Most of it was just fat had to throw it away after 3 bites and trying to force myself to eat it.

I’ve ordered Beef Sharwarma Box which means it comes with fries but then instead of a price of combo meal the person who took my order charged me for separate price for Shawarma and fries. I never really make reviews but this one, I have to say something because we work hard for our money to buy food what we want to eat but then people in this place taking advantage to the customers. Always check your receipts because you wouldn’t know what they charge you.

Automatically add a tip to the order...no thanks.

Staff is nice. Place is often clean. Food could be better. Ended up very sick after my last visit this past Monday. Lab work was done to confirm.

I ordered a Chicken Shawarma no tomatoes... I got tomatoes this time.. they usually on point..

Over the past year, I’ve given Bucharest Grill Express in Royal Oak multiple chances to improve, but it’s clear that this location is plagued with issues. The service is consistently bad, with extremely long wait times—there’s truly nothing "express" about this place. To make matters worse, 8 out of 10 times my order has been wrong, which is unacceptable.

What’s most frustrating is the lack of professionalism from the staff. The majority of the girls at the front seem uninterested in their jobs, often standing around on their phones or handling personal calls and texts rather than assisting customers. It’s beyond frustrating to see a lack of effort while customers are left waiting endlessly.

This location desperately needs better management and training to address these issues. Until then, I can’t recommend dining here.

The staff is incredibly nice and patient however they need a manager to get their stuff together. Waited 30 minutes for slow casual dining. I don’t blame the staff: I blame management. Never again. Give yourself an hour and call way ahead.

When ordering take out there good luck picking it up. The staff must win awesome prizes in the who can wait the longest without talking to customers game. And the look on their faces of "I don't know what I hate most, customers or the place I work at." Attitude adjustments needed asap.

Was hoping to contact someone in charge at this location in Royal Oak but oh well. Went on 11/24/24 and ordered 3 Chicken Shawarma's and 1 lamb. Halfway greeted by a young girl with a hand tattoo- didnt see a name tag. On her phone and very unpleasant as if we were interrupting her. 20+ minute wait for cold food and people after us got their order first. Dined in and garlic was forgotten. Asked for more and once again I was interrupting her phone time while she was at the counter. Place was dirty. Food was OK minus being cold. Do not recommend at all. Not sure I will be back. Disappointing.

Order takeout and avoid having your opinion of the restaurant ruined by counter help who was inconvenienced by our mid-day arrival that interrupted what I can only imagine was a thrilling content on her Instagram feed.
