The food is absolutely terrible and it took a really long time. We ordered street corn not soup corn. I haven’t complained to a manager at a restaurant in over 10 years until now. I’ll be surprised if my girlfriend and I don’t have food poisoning by the end of the night.
Rosie at Cantaritos is AMAZING! She is fast, sweet, and tentative! The food is some of the best authentic Mexican food I have had in a long long time! Amazing patio seating, that allows dogs (my personal favorite)! Big beautiful dining area with a large bar! Drinks are strong and delicious!! Hands down one of my favorite places to go in Royal Oak!
Friendly service. Music on Saturday
I haven’t even left the restaurant yet and I’m leaving this review. Cantarito’s is my new favourite place. Amazing service and delicious food, plus a great atmosphere.
The food was fantastic. It was our first time and we will definately be back again
From bc michigan one of the best places ive been
Expensive! But good. I had the fajitas with nachos and a margarita to treat myself It came to $50 just for myself. The atmosphere is nice but I'm kind of cheap sometimes. I was trying to treat myself but for the $50 I could have got me a six pack of margaritas and ordered me some takeout and still had a couple of dollars.
Food was great, very authentic and fresh. Drinks were good too. Had a margarita and piña colada and the Michigan burrito. Great experience, highly recommend!
Very cool restaurant. Interior had more of a club feel. Great location in downtown Royal Oak. Food was amazing. In fact, I don't usually like the rice and beans at Mexican restaurants, but theirs was amazing. My only complaint was the cost. $30 for a lunch entree is a bit outrageous. After a soft drink, tax and tip, I was out $40 just for me.

First time visiting. Told by family that frequently eats here it's "like that place at home" so I was ready for good food. The chorizo-queso dip was ??
Drinks were cold, food was hot. I'll definitely come back when I'm in town again
Parking: There are a number of "paid" street parking, and most were open when we were there but I imagine after 9 pm those would be filled.

We went a couple weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised how amazing everything was! Food was delicious, service was amazing (shout out to Victor) and atmosphere was just what we needed. Definitely recommend everyone to check it out! Can't wait to go back.

All in all, ok. It was not busy, but food took longer than expected and it was warm to cool. Taste was good. Our waitress was okay. Wasn't as friendly as expected. Didn't check on us often. Having many tvs was nice, but could be distracting for some. Drinks good. Worth a try.

We enjoyed a great meal at Cantaritos on a Wednesday night! From the moment we walked in, we were seated immediately, and the service was prompt with water brought to the table right away. While I skipped the Margaritas this time, the table next to us raved about how much they enjoyed theirs, so it’s definitely something to try next visit.
The menu had an impressive variety of options, making it tough to choose! As this was my second time dining here, I decided to go with the Fajita Bowl with Chicken—it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the flavor was spot on. Others in our party ordered the Michigan Burrito with Chorizo and different varieties of enchiladas, and everyone loved their choices.
The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, and the quality of food was consistent with my first visit. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy another meal at Cantaritos Mexican Bar & Grill soon!

Cool looking place, might have been a club at one time, but did not help considering they had cold air blowing on us the whole time which added to cooling the already lukewarm food. Not much flavor either. Birria tacos could have benefited from more cheese & my consommé was little & not very hot. The waiter was a tool too. He def. didn’t want to be there.
