The bartender was super cool, knew a lot about the whiskey selection--which is large--without being the slightest snobby about it. Refreshing. A shame about the parking in RO--nothing attracts a crowd, like a crowd, and now it's just downright crowded. Hopefully Dixie moon relocates to downtown Berkley, the people and place are worth visiting.
Live music was great! We arrived around 1015pm and were not approached by the wait staff for about 10 minutes (it was not busy). Waitress wasn't very personable. We tried to order food as well but the kitchen was closed. The flyer on the table said the kitchen closed at 1130pm (1 hour after we ordered).
Guaranteed you will always get a table, because this place is never even half full. Drinks are cheap for Royal Oak ($4 tall bud light). Bartenders are always fast and kind. Live Music on Friday & Saturday nights always impresses me. $5 cover when they have live music. Only downside is that they tend to close earlier than other bars, more like 12-12:30.
