The strawberry margarita and blackened chicken quesadilla were delicious! My husband had three tacos : chicken, birria and chorizo. The chicken was great, birria was good, but the chorizo was adequate (dry). A server brought us chips and queso by accident - we ordered the chorizo dip, which did show up later. My friend ordered three tacos and only got two ; we were in a moderate rush to get to a concert so it was fine. However, looking at the bill we were charged for the app we didn’t order and the taco we didn’t get. It just seemed like things / communication between staff and the kitchen does not go smoothly.

Service was good until I got home and saw I got got overcharged. Will not return. Will not recommend. Hope nobody gets Taylor as their waitress. I wish I could've tipped the cook for the fantastic food instead of her. She was great till I got home and saw my receipt. My fault for not checking before signing. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!!

Iron Horse is such a great find in Royal Oak—laid-back vibe, cool industrial decor, and consistently solid food. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the menu delivers. The burgers are excellent, and the portions are generous without being over the top.
What really stands out is the atmosphere: welcoming without being loud, stylish without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can hang out with friends or bring a date and have a great time either way.
Service has always been friendly and efficient whenever I’ve been in. Definitely one of Royal Oak’s better spots for a casual but high-quality meal. Looking forward to my next visit!

We were celebrating a birthday with a small group. The hostess was lovely and kind. Our server was terrific and gave great advice on food and drink. She also asked the birthday girl if she'd like a dessert on the house. We split the churros, which were awesome. Food and drink were perfect! We will return again! Thank you for a great night!

Good, solid Mexican fare at a very reasonable price. The Esquites dip is not to be missed! Very different and delicious, a good starter to share. You can get smaller a la cart items or larger entrees, depending on what you are up for. Birria tacos are fabulous! Excellent Happy Hour deals. Wait staff was friendly and very efficient. This place has a fun, familiar vibe. We'll be back.

We LOVE going to Iron Horse. Probably the best chips and salsa in SE MI and I love the selection of al a carte tacos (crunch beef, birria, and steak are my go-tos). Always a great meal!
