I AM SOOO HAPPY KAIZEN OPENED BACK UP. The ramen is delicious and the noodles made in house is fantastic. The chef Yoshika was amazing and so was her art that was hung on the wall.

A hidden gem of the Detroit area is the diversity in food due to wide array of international companies and settlement. This means if you know where to look you can find raw authenticity.

I found this new eatery in passing and was rather pleased. At first I was skeptical because the restaurant was nearly empty, but I also learned it had been recently ooened.

The atmosphere has a cool vibe and is decorated in a trendy urban robot motif. It feels like your average hip spot you’d find in Tokoyo and even South Korea’s Seoul.

The elephant in the room, what’s my opinion on taste. First off, I only sampled on dish and it was great! Upon delivery it’s clear through their plating that the ingredients are above average. Look at a couple pics and you decide. I found the signature of the broth to be very rich and refined slowly, rather than a sauce packet & water. The pork & other ingredients felt as though TLC were paramount. And lastly I found the hand made noodles complimented everything else, yet it was strikingly unique that it left a grin.

I plan to go back soon to explore the menu further.

Nice ramen shop with fast and efficient service. The workers were friendly and observed covid-19 safety measures. The food was priced at a surprising fair rate for a Royal Oak restaurant.

Fun place with a little of something for everyone in a group.Menu has meet, gluten free, and vegan options. But they are a little bit hard to pick out and all the options makes the menu a little overwhelming. Plan for time to review as they encourage people to order before sitting down.We were fortunate with our timing that we could sit and review and then order, but 10 minutes later and we would have had to give our table up for someone who had an order in ahead of us cause it got filled fast.I ordered a pole bowl which was one of the lighter dishes, but it was a good sized portion and was definitely filling. Both my friend, who also got a poke bowl, and I were surprised by hidden wasabi. My friend actually thought she had all her wasabi scooped out, but apparently not. It was a bit alarming but we survived. We enjoyed great appetizers- the edamame and fried chicken, which came out with all the other food. I generally like it when apps come out before the meal, but I don't think the level of staff would make that easy, so take that into consideration cause the apps may be held until your full order is ready.Other friends ordered ramen and buns and were content with the flavor of their broths and dishes. We finished the meal with some green tea mochi ice cream which was great. Loved the textured of the mochi- makes a nice contrast to the creamy smooth ice cream by giving a bit of a gooey mouth feel. Would definitely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly, this place serves the best Ramen I have had thus far. Why? THE BROTH IS SLAMMIN'! The quality in Ramen shines in the broth and let me tell ya, it shows! Aside from the tasty broths, the meats & herbs are prepared no differently. I enjoy Ramen but they also turned me over to other unique dishes.. The variety of choices and flavor makes it great for anyone who is new to the cuisine.

Great place for some ramen. My friend and I shared veggie spring rolls and chicken bao. I got Miso ramen with Tofu and my friend opted for Shoyu. The food was delicious and it arrived to our table fast. The broth was done right and it was very filling. I would certainly come back here for some more ramen. I highly recommend this place.

Simple, but very delicious plates! The staff service was a bit to be desired, and the prices are a tad pricey. However, the dishes makes up for some of that. I wouldn't give it a solid 4 stars but I am rounding up from a 3.5.
