Best breakfast in the Detroit metro area. The hash browns and bacon were so nicely cooked. I got blueberry pancakes and my boyfriend got a veggie omelet. The owner is the kindest woman and really knows how to run a business. She’s hospitable and generous. Seems to know the customers well - they must be regulars. This is a blue-collar diner. Good amount of delicious food for the cost, which has never been too expensive. Nothing fancy, but you get your order how you want it and you get it fast enough. It's Royal Oak.
I, 21, have been coming to Monty's ever since I was 8. Back then, my dad, brother, and I were welcomed in and fed and thus began a lifelong relationship with the best diner in metro Detroit.
