I have been a couple of times. I always get the redcoat special burger. Last visit wasn’t that great. They changed the lighting and its a lot brighter now which changes the feel. Steak bites were good but i feel like the steak portion was cut in half from the last time I ordered years ago. Service was also not great. Drinks got messed up and we had to wait for refills and talk over a stack of plates.
Delicious
Ask for burger to be well done twice, still mostly pink 🤦🏾♂️🤢 everything else was ok.
They just don’t know what well done means.
My mother stopped in between doctor visits last week for a bite. We decided to sit in a booth. It was too small and she had issues getting out. While attempting to exit the booth her legs gave out and she was unable to stand. Unable to lift her alone, two of the wait staff came out and we were able to get her in a chair. The waiter with the beard was instrumental with his assistance. He even brought a glass of water for her. Then my mom noticed another elderly lady having the same issue. I went over and assisted her in rising from the booth seat. Upon returning to the table I noticed how low the booth seating is. This is the only reason for a lower star in the Atmosphere section. Please be aware of this before sitting in one of their booths. Other than that, the food was delicious.
Great service for years 👏 👍 👌 😀!
Love your ground rounds and your new England clam chowder. Enjoyed lunch there when I worked for Estate Motors.
Horrible dine in experience with the racist misogynistic waiter. I sent my daughter and my mother to eat there after an outing they had. The male waiter with a beard asked where they heard of the tavern and my daughter said her father recommended and that my mother was visiting. He proceeded to ask my mother if she spoke English. And then said that there was no problem if she did not because there were employees in the kitchen that did not speak English. Which is ridiculous because of course she does and it’s none of his business. After this my daughter proceeded to order a burger with no cheese. This man thinks he knows better and pressured her until she ordered with cheese and had to scrape it off. Needless to say we are never going back. I am not a huge fan of bar food but we would go there because the service is usually good and the food is regular bar food. But I would really like to know his name and go and sit at his table and show him what he needs to learn.
Great burgers!

Food and service is great but the place is packed with little room to move about. Call ahead or get there early.

I used to work at the Redcoat in West Bloomfield and had a hankering for some redcoat food. Not much has changed, the coleslaw is still perfect and the brassiere burger is still juicy, our server was attentive and patient and I don't know why I don't come by more often.
