I don’t normally leave reviews… but, this place honestly blew me away. Tonight was my first time coming here, I went through the drive thru and ordered just a burger and waffle fries…in my experiences, I haven’t had anything as fresh and delicious as this was. The quality and quantity of the food is excellent, I was so satisfied with how fresh and filling it all was. This place is sure to have your order done quick and efficiently, also is not comparable to any other “fast food” I’ve had !Definitely stop here if you haven’t already.

Royal is the best!! They have the best Gyro Greek Salad ever. It’s ALWAYS super fresh. Reuben sandwich is pretty good according to my husband. The service is always friendly and they care a lot for their customers. Plus is very clean restaurant.

I was in town due to business, and decided to stop here for something besides McDonald’s. Gave it a chance because of the raving reviews and I am so … glad I did.Walked in and the lady at the register was beyond courteous and patient with my mother and I. She made recommendations for what to order off the menu and we decided on some coney dogs and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. As we were about to leave while making small talk with the lady, she saw me eyeing the homemade cakes they had up front. I asked her if the chocolate or caramel cake was better and she smiled, and proceeded to give us a slice of each on the house, for free?!She told us to have a safe drive back home. Not even kidding, some of the best coney dogs I’ve ever had and hands down the most surprising cake I’ve had in years. The caramel cake is incredibly moist, thick and fluffy and so .. so delicious.We will be back when we come back up for business. Thank you to the owners, to the staff and whoever that lady was. We appreciate you.

Royal Coney Expr. is a shining star in the area.I usually order through Doordash & the drive-thru, and each time I've gone to pick up my order, it's hot, fresh, and I'm out of there within 5 minutes. Coney Dogs are a staple in the Metro-Detroit area, and they have it nailed. The chili cheese fries, also a staple, are among the best I've ever had. They're loaded and absolutely delicious, and they even reheat well! Not too many places can say that about their food. Pricing is exceptional for what you get, and their staff is always pleasant and friendly - I've never had an issue here.My only "issue" is how tight the drive-thru is. I get through just fine, but longer or wider vehicles may have some trouble.Royal Coney, thank you for your stellar service. You've got me as a customer for life.

Wish they stayed open a bit later. The grilled chicken salad was huge and fresh, so we're the wings. I brought people who were visiting Detroit for the first time, this was their first coney experience, and they loved it!
Royal Coney Express is our go to spot. The burgers are delicious, always cooked perfectly and taste like home cooked meal. The chicken pita is fantastic, chicken is crunchy and delicious. Also, they have the best onion rings I have found anywhere. We love this place, the staff is friendly, the food is made with quality ingredients, and it’s always consistent.
We love this place. The food is good and really quick. When our son was going through chemo two years ago the lemon rice soup from here was one of the only things he'd eat!

I got the Philly because reviews said it was good but it's not the same. I didn't want to ding the stars, so 5 stars, but the problem with all the philly cheesesteaks in the area is that none of them have the correct hoagie roll. They use this flimsy roll that has the softness equivalent of a hotdog or burger roll when a Philly Cheesesteak has a much rougher roll. This is critical because an authentic Philly Cheesesteak is incredibly juicy in a way that these dupes never can be because of their weak rolls. With a Philly Cheesesteak, the thick hoagie roll soaks up all of the juice and flavor from the meat and mixes with the melted cheese and ooey gooey ketchup and mayonnaise in a way that turns it into a transcendental experience. Sadly, with sandwiches like these, all the deliciousness just leaks out into a puddle at the bottom of the styrofoam due to the weak bun.I'm not upset with you, Royal Coney Express. It's just that my search for THE philly cheesesteak in SE Michigan will have to continue.
