It’s unfortunate that we had to leave early and we were unable to fully get the dine in experience. We came in at 8:30pm and greeted with warm welcome. But that took a turn. Being it our first time at that specific Indian restaurant, we were curious asking questions about the food before we decide which one wanted to eat- the lady failed to understand our questions but gave us some suggestions which we took into consideration. We were finally ready to order and had one finally question about two different lamb sauces (as they had almost 7 types) but were met with (snarky tone) snarky replies like “chicken tastes like chicken”, “lamb taste like lamb”, “this is thick”, “this is thin”… the lady was obviously upset and was projecting this attitude towards my man (making him feel dumb) which was unacceptable and so we left and went to one of our favorite take away Indian spots called Pink Garlic with better services. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received, which raises concerns about the restaurant's ability to accommodate individuals with diverse needs. As someone who works with people on the autism spectrum, those with sensory sensitivities, non-verbal individuals, and those with significant hearing disabilities, I worry about the level of care they would receive. If the service was inadequate for me, how can I trust that they would provide suitable support for those who require extra assistance? I do hope that we would be able to receive better service another time.

We went to try Royal Oak Masala as a part of Valentine's day celebration. They had a nice ambiance for the celebration. I was excited to eat some authentic Indian food due to the good reviews I read. But sadly was disappointed to find everything we ordered to be very very Americanized version of Indian food. We ordered an appetizer Panner Chilly to start with and found it very tangy/ saucy flavored, panner quality wasn't too good either. Next we ordered the most expensive biryani I have had in the US - the Clay Pot Dum Biryani - I thought it would extra ordinary due the price point at the least - being an Indian I would say it was nothing more than a plain veggie pulav (spiced rice) . I ordered Paneer Biryani and it was literally just paneer and spiced rice in a pot, no veggies and only few pieces of panner - not sure why it was 28$. The servers were very prompt in the service and that is why I am giving the 2 stars I am. If you are looking for authentic indian food, this is not the place for it.

This is an amazing place for gluten free Indian food, clearly marked on the menu and tons of options! Great service and delicious chai on a cold day.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pakora and more!

This place is located in Royal oak, it twas my first time trying it out. I ordered the Chicken vegetable soup and I had some Garlic Naan bread, both were delicious. And the people are nice and friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable.

Vegetarian options: I'm not sure there is something here for Vegetarians.. I only ordered soup, because it was all I could afford at that time.

Located right in downtown Royal Oak. I ordered the butter chicken, it was a bit spicy for me, good but not the best I've ever had. I liked that they have a TV screen with their dishes featured. Prices are reasonable, extensive menu. The service was awful, very slow and not attentive.

The gobi manchurian wasn’t crispy at all. The hakka noodles had a stink. And the samosa was flat and bland.

literally could’ve killed me. i hate to leave bad reviews but they genuinely put my heath in danger. i have a severe nut allergy (specifically cashews) but i love indian food. was passing through royal oak and checked out their menu, and to my surprise and delight their butter chicken had no mention of cashews as is typically included in the dish. i order online and leave a note with every dish i order (shown below) saying “nut allergy”. given my food with no mention of the note, go home, take three bites, and my throat starts to itch and close. luckily i have the correct medicine and time to handle this, but it’s absolutely not an okay situation. if i had known their butter chicken had cashews, i simply wouldn’t have ordered it, the rest of their menu looks great. please update your online menu to accommodate nut allergies better or at least leave a note with the butter chicken.

Extremely rude staff and bad service. Had an issue with their website and the person on the phone refused to help, saying it wasn’t their fault. Store wouldn’t honor supposed website discount even though order was placed that way and the issue was their bad system. Not sure why you wouldn’t try to make it work when you’re the one offering a discount. Just bad business practices. Food is mediocre.

Cannot speak on the location but they came to my work as a vendor and the food was great, very flavorful and a good portion. Even witnessed a co-worker drop their lunch (not from royal oak masala) and they gave them a portion for free, what great character the employees have.

The food was amazing! As well as the aesthetic and atmosphere of the restaurant. I’ll definitely come back again!
