I love and frequently go to the location downtown. I decided to check this location out since my husband and I just moved to Birmingham and it’s closer. I had the worst experience with the barista Ethan due to his bad attitude the whole experience of getting coffee. The endearing trait about GLC is not only the amazing coffee but the outgoing staff. I’m disappointed and won’t be back to this location.
I support Great Lakes Coffee workers striking for better conditions. The people making your coffee deserve a living wage and a good work environment. I will not buy from here until there is a suitable agreement with the strikers.

They have the best polar bear ice cap hands down. They are fast and friendly.
Barista stood there doing I don’t know what, no one else there but me… minutes passed… then she turned and said if you want to order something you need to come over to this register. How about, I can help you over here? I DID want to order, but - I won’t be back.

Food and drinks are just as good here as they are at their location in Detroit! Not as busy and everyone is friendly.
