Coffee here decent but overpriced in my opinion. I can't have dairy so like everywhere else I had to pay extra for oatmilk. My drink came out to be $7 and would have been $1 extra if I wanted extra flavor. I generally go here to use the space for computer work, but always buy something when I am there. They have a breakfast menu which is mid and also overpriced. I would purchase a drink if I was going to be working in the space, but not the food or anything just for the fun of it. Lots of better coffee options in that price range available in the area!

I love and frequently go to the location downtown. I decided to check this location out since my husband and I just moved to Birmingham and it’s closer. I had the worst experience with the barista Ethan due to his bad attitude the whole experience of getting coffee. The endearing trait about GLC is not only the amazing coffee but the outgoing staff. I’m disappointed and won’t be back to this location.

I support Great Lakes Coffee workers striking for better conditions. The people making your coffee deserve a living wage and a good work environment. I will not buy from here until there is a suitable agreement with the strikers.

Their baristas are so kind and willing to make recommendations based on what you like. The spot is open and a great place to get some work done or meet a friend. Their coffee is delicious and the only coffee I'll drink black sometimes!

Very open and airy--great spot to meet for a socially-distanced coffee. Grab your loaf of bread and bottle of wine for dinner and it makes for a lovely morning or afternoon break! Ample parking and central location between Detroit and northern suburbs. The coffee is fine and there's lots of options. It's mostly great because of the huge space and relative emptiness every time I go there. And the 2-for-1 errand doing of full grocery store at the coffee shop.

Love Great Lakes Coffee! It's so convenient to pop in here to grab an iced latte before grocery shopping (it's located in Woodward Corners-the smaller, upscale Meijer outside Beaumont Royal Oak) or on my way home from errands. Sandwiches are also delicious, and service is always pleasant and welcoming. Architecture is cool and interesting. Overall a great place to grab your caffeine fix or sit down for lunch.
