Not really much of a sports bar person in the past, and I have lived in Royal Oak for years and just started coming here. The service is always really great, but because it’s so popular sometimes it can get very busy, it’s a great place to watch a Lions game hockey game, etc. The staff is always been extremely personable, and the owners are almost constantly there. Definitely a place that cares about the product they are putting out, The pizza and the cheese sticks are delicious. I will literally die if the cheese sticks ever go away. Definitely an old school bar where you can actually speak to people and meet new people pretty much at any age group. Definitely not the norm for downtown Royal Oak.. Some of the other reviews sound like they’re probably from people who aren’t used to being in public.. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

So I showed up here and can not believe how awesome The Rock on Third does it!
From the welcoming staff who treat their guests to an amazing service and the overall atmosphere, kinda get that Cheers vibe here.
The Food is exactly where it needs to be! Burgers, Za's, and Sammie's to please!
Service as a whole was solid. Didn't try any food. Smelt good. Was the end of our visit when we noticed something super gross. One bartender, while pouring drinks she kept the soda gun nozzle or the tap beer nozzle in the glass she was pouring rather hovering over. Super gross whether you clean those daily or not.
