I love this place so much! I stayed for the first time on New Year’s Eve last year for a cornhole tournament with my now husband and it was amazing! We had a great time! They have a restaurant called the Dive Bar and their food and drinks are delicious! We also watched a Lions game there and had so much fun! Such a beautiful location right on the water of which we had a river view room. They have fireplaces in the lobby which we loved spending time in front of drinking coffee and relaxing. It was perfect. So when we got engaged, my fiancé made an appointment for us to talk with Nancy about having our wedding there. She is the sweetest, most helpful, caring person. We were planning it in a very short amount of time and it couldn’t have gone better because of her. When I was so stressed about so many details and getting everything done, she was always there to listen, talk and calm me down. I can’t say enough good things about her and the venue. Our wedding definitely wouldn’t have happened or been what it was without her. The food was delicious, the cottage we were staying was beautiful and the perfect place to get ready, and our ceremony was right on the river which was incredible. Nancy is the best manager, wedding coordinator there is and the St. Clair Inn is so lucky to have her. I would like to say that all the employees that we dealt with were so nice and helpful but Nancy is manager and for good reason. We are staying there again for another New Year’s Eve cornhole tournament and my parent’s are coming this time because they loved our wedding and the venue so much as well and even stayed there for their anniversary. So huge thanks again to Nancy Doolittle Lisabeth for everything.

Unsuccessful and extremely tactless management. Disappointing and disgraceful to say the least. Highly unprofessional and do not recommend. Their food and beverage manager; Andrew Gunn is despicable.

My wife and I just returned from a terrific weekend at the beautiful St Clair Inn. What a place! Such a great spot to celebrate a special occasion. Charming, historic, unique and scenic. Special thanks to Christina at the front desk and our new friend Rich Lisabeth for sharing some great insight about the Inn. 5 stars!!!

We are so thankful for the amazing staff and support of the St. Clair Inn! They have accommodated the cornhole community amazingly. Service is timely, rooms are always fabulous and the staff treats you like family! The views are amazing and let me tell you … the beds are sooo comfy! Thank you for opening your doors and your hearts to the cornhole community like you have … your Inn is an A++ In our book!!

We stayed New Year’s Eve in a suite and the room was beautiful and very spacious. Rooms seem well insulated because we didn’t hear much outside noise from the bar downstairs. Beautiful lobby seating areas with fireplaces. A lot of historic style furniture from the original inn. Great river views! The food in their Dive restaurant was amazing. For dinner my husband had the prime rib dinner and I had a gnocchi with mushrooms, spinach and Parmesan. Absolutely delicious. We splurged and got dessert for NYE and the apple tart was light and flaky with great flavor. Breakfast was just as amazing as dinner, eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Many other things on their menu we would like to try so will definitely be back. Also all the staff were super friendly and accommodating . Highly recommend if you’re looking for a night away or even just to go for the restaurant/bar. Great location in summer with the river walks and walking distance to other downtown shops and bars.

Awesome place to stay. Love the history of it. Large room though mini fridge would been nice we made do with cooler. suggestion: when pulling in to check in parking lot full due to wedding and no idea what to do. Went to lot across way not knowing if get towed but thankfully worker just getting out car for work and said yes it was their lot and good to park there. Also unsure where lobby was due to all the buildings Signage for office and extra parking would be nice. But still HIGHLY recommend. No complaints only suggestions

The staff were wonderful! Very helpful. Rooms clean, even though on the smaller side, comfy, have a coffee setup, fridge. Some rooms have balconies, beautiful view, the big freighters come so close! Enjoyed our trip

Was told 1926 restaurant had a full menu. There were a TOTAL of 6 entrees on the menu. The manager outright lied and we walked out.

6 of us had dinner recently and were all able to find something on the menu to enjoy (ribeye, walleye, lobster tails, and lamb). The mushroom appetiser was amazing and berry goat salads were full of fresh berries. Service was excellent and wine selection, river view and food made it a memorable dinner. Yes it’s a bit pricey but worth it for a special night out. Glad their is room at the Inn again!

We sat at the bar while waiting for a table. After 15 minutes, we still had not been acknowledged even though the bartender looked at us a few times. At that point we left. All she needed to do was greet us and tell us she would be with us shortly. Just that gesture would have made us stay.

Ruth went out of her way to accommodate our party which included several guests that had allergy concerns. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable!
