This place has an old diner feel but our waitress was extremely friendly and the breakfast potatoes were delicious! 😋 thanks for being a stop on our vacation!

Service was fine but the coffee was severely under par. Was not up to date inside.

This was the first time we stayed in St Ignace MI. My husband and I did not know where to eat breakfast so we drove down the street and we saw Bentley's so we stopped. There was no one waiting outside so we just walked inside the restaurant. Before we could open our mouths the hostess told us the wait is outside and the wait is 30 minutes and slammed the door. There was no one outside waiting and when I was inside I saw there were tables available. There was another couple that walked in after us and they got seated. I believe we were discriminated because we are a gay couple. We will never step inside that restaurant again if we are in the area again.

Absolutely horrible. Complete waste of money. Waitresses are the worst, zero customer service, dirty kitchen, they offer coke products that taste like two day old coffee. Daughter and I got sprite and a diet coke. We took one sip and set them aside. Completely unlike the other places we visited in the u.p. we won't go back and encourage people to skip this tourist trap.

This place needs a few days off for a deep cleaning. It would make a huge difference. The servers wouldn't be tripping on things, the customers would be more comfortable. Its dirty. We left before our food came because we were worried about getting sick.
And you cant have your kid putting the silverware together. Dude was rubbing his nose and touching the forks/knives customers would later use.
Just take a day or two off, close down, clean up.

Had Pastie and spoiled coleslaw. The Pastie was not the best one I have had. Whitefish sandwich was good. No one checked if we needed anything after food brought out. The place could use a good cleaning, and better customer service techniques.

Stopped in for breakfast before hitting the golf course, and very happy we did. Nice little step back in time with the retro style and music choice (which was a great touch). I had the home fries w/ gravy, and the gravy did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed one of their homemade cinnamon rolls. Those are a meal in itself! Staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back if in the area again.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and never had a bad experience—until now. This visit was incredibly disappointing. Our waitress (a blonde woman) was rude and dismissive the entire time. She never once said “thank you” or “you’re welcome,” and only came to our table to drop off drinks and food. There was zero friendliness or basic courtesy.
After we paid, she actually shoved past me to grab our plates and cups, which was shocking and completely uncalled for. I was also given a takeout box with something gross smeared around the rim—totally unappetizing and careless.
For the first time ever, I didn’t leave a tip. That’s not something I do lightly, but the service made it clear it wasn’t deserved. I’ve always enjoyed this place, but this experience left a really bad impression.

The food was good but… they didn’t clean the tables after someone ate and sat us there and the place was a mess and my family was scared to eat the food but it was really good

Tried to come here for breakfast with my husband. Got sat at the counter and ignored while people who came in after us were served. Waitress walked past us 5 times and not once were we even asked if we'd like a drink.
