We had fun at Java Joe's - it was our first time here! The place was packed, but everyone was being fed, talking with other customers, checking out all the fun stuff on the walls, a gift shop area - and enjoying delicious food! We'll go back!

The pancake was huge and excellent

Downside; the scrambled eggs were not just appealing.

Suggestion: offer real maple as an option for additional amount. Make real corned beef hash.

It's a small restaurant, but it was nice. The food and the service was very good. We came last Saturday morning. Very good place to go.

We were very excited to return to Java Joe's, having met Joe and dined there twice on a previous trip to St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. This time was wonderful, too, despite Joe's retirement. We had the same great waitress, atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was amazing! Don't miss out! It's a key St. Ignace venue!

This long time established psychedelic, local cafe seemed to keep the locals coming. This rainbow cafe was an eclectic mash of local trinkets, souvenirs and small eatery. Despite being busy it served pretty standard food that was a little underwhelming unfortunately but the locals seemed to like it. Not one I’d rush back to visit but an interesting iconic spot.

Veggie frittata and banana nut pancakes did not disappoint. Great service from Donna as usual. Thanks Steve and Ashley. We got to see Java Joe and Sandy as a bonus to our meal.

This is an iconic restaurant with a really neat story. The food is delicious, and the portions are huge. The coffee is great, and the waitstaff kept our mugs full.

I wanted so much to like this place! Their menu was phenomenal. But the crepes I had were practically inedible. They were flavorless pieces of rubber. Even jam did not rescue them.

NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME (NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT)
Cute place thats always busy but for the love of everything good in the universe please stop saying you have vegan options when you never have the proper supplies to make them. This is the 2nd or 3rd time we came here from out of town, wait to be seated to find that we are yet again out of the supplies to make a vegan breakfast. It would have been absolutely lovely when we asked the girl at the counter if they had vegan options that she would have mentioned that again they are out of supplies. I get it. The world eats omnivores but please take that item off the menu permanently. "We have the cheese but no egg or meat alternative" isn't going to cut it anymore.

Our experience was not what we expected. Wait was long and the woman behind the counter was harsh with her staff, very uncomfortable for all.
