We enjoyed the Mackinac Grille and Patio while on vacation in the Upper Peninsula. We liked sitting on the patio with a great view of Lake Huron. This place has some of the most delicious fresh Whitefish I've ever tasted, but I had so much to eat while on vacation that it was time for me to have something slightly healthy for a change, so i did the unusually and ordered a salad. It was really good, but everything I tried there was delicious.

The white fish and the beef brisket were delicious and tasty. The drinks weren't half bad either. The view of Lake Huron was magnificent... Highly recommend.

Great place that has lots of good local feel to it. Got to try local specialties like paste and white fish cakes. Both of which I really liked.

Absolutely disgusting. We waited for over an hour for our food. Our steaks we ordered medium rare were over done almost burned. The shrimp was soggy. Even the fries were nasty McDonald's fries taste better. Our waitress never came to check not even one time. After waiting almost 2.5 hours I had to go find people to even get our check and be able to leave. I watched 2 other sets of people walk out without even being served and others being sat and completely ignored.

After waiting over 30 minutes to be seated the hostess was seating someone else so I waited at the hostess desk. She came back around the corner and said "helloo?!?!" How was I supposed to know she wanted me to follow her when she was seating other people?!?
We were sat in the room to the left in the back right corner. We looked over the menu and were waiting. After some time I asked the person I was with how long we have been waiting (15 minutes!!) I decided to give them 10 more minutes since I know they were busy as it is Saturday night. After a total of 25 minutes we were not even greeted. The table next to us was sat a few minutes after us and was helped right away. We got up and left. I let the hostess know we were never helped and we are now leaving. I'm very disappointed as it seems like a very popular place but even more upset since now we have to find somewhere else to eat and wait even longer. Maybe we should have gotten up and said something earlier, but I knew they were busy and was trying to be patient.

Traditional American fare with a Great Lakes twist. The food wasn't particularly innovative, but it was fresh and well-made. A good example of the type of food it was aiming for. Burgers, fresh fish, meatloaf, and other assorted classic comfort foods. The service was good, but rather slow, but it was the dinner rush, so that was forgivable. The atmosphere was an eclectic blend of license plates and beer signs, with a smattering of Great Lakes memorabilia, but it was relatively clean. The prices were unfortunately quite high, considering the quality of the food. Overall, I'd rate it 7/10. A decent place to dine on a dime.

Nice place to eat after a day of travel and exploring. Clam chowder was good, and so were the salads. It's an interesting building - old but taken care of and clean. It's situated on the shore of Lake Huron and it's all beautiful!
