But the fact that they can accommodate every allergy in my family which is quite a few is mind-boggling. If you haven't checked it out yet it's worth the trip you are going to love it! And they have more than chocolate & coffee (that by the way is also delicious and allergy free) they also have lunch items and all other kinds of surprising goodies.

OhMi Organics is an unexpected but wonderful treasure my fiancée and I discovered in St. John’s. After submitting our marriage application at the courthouse, we wanted to find a small spot to celebrate—and luckily, OhMi Organics was less than three minutes away.
For context, I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, where great bakeries are everywhere. Since moving to Michigan for medical school, I’ve had a tough time finding desserts in the Lansing area that aren’t overly sugary or heavy. OhMi Organics completely changed that for me, and I can confidently say I’ll be a repeat customer.
One person who truly stood out was Brent, the former owner (who has since passed the business on to his grandchildren). From the moment we walked in, he welcomed us warmly. We told him it was our first time, and he immediately began sharing the history of the bakery, explaining each item in detail, and even offering free chocolate samples so we could find what we liked. His knowledge, kindness, and enthusiasm made the visit memorable.
We ended up ordering a dozen chocolates, two cookies, and two drinks (a cold cocoa and a choffee), with a subtotal of about $53. After enjoying everything over the next few days, I can honestly say these chocolates are some of the best I’ve ever had. Brent mentioned that most chocolates can leave your stomach feeling uncomfortable—which is usually why I only eat one or two pieces at a time. His chocolates? I ate four in a row with zero discomfort. They were that good.
My personal favorite, though, were the cookies. For being a health-oriented dessert, they were surprisingly delicious. I’ll definitely be back for more.
My fiancée absolutely loved the cold cocoa and finished it before we even walked out the door. I only took one sip of hers and I found it a bit grainy—similar to a protein shake—but she said it grows on you with each sip. The choffee wasn’t my favorite; it tasted like regular drip coffee and what made it a “choffee” was the addition of a chocolate of your choice melted in. As someone who’s pretty picky about coffee and usually seeks local coffee shops, it just wasn’t quite my style. However, Brent also gave us a sample of their cold brew, and I definitely regret not ordering it—both my fiancée and I loved it, even though she normally doesn’t like cold brew at all.
Overall, I would rate OhMi Organics a 5/5 for professionalism, product quality, and friendliness. The prices are a bit high for my student budget, so this will likely be a “treat yourself” stop for me—but a well-worth-it one. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for genuinely thoughtful, high-quality treats.

Their cheesy vegetable soup (vegan btw) is warm and comforting, the chocolate cakes are perfectly rich, and their chocolate milk? Easily the best I’ve ever had—so creamy, rich, and indulgent. But the real showstopper for me was the Neapolitan chocolate. One bite, and it’s like a full flavor journey from start to finish. Absolutely magical!

Each option chooses generally healthier options like lower glycemic index sweeteners, no additives, etc.

We just stopped in here after looking for a place to get chocolates for gifts this christmas. The service was absolutely outstanding! We were given so many samples from drinks to chocolate to their unique hummus. I never knew this place existed, but it’s a hidden gem and i will 100% be back. On top of all of the delicious items we tasted and purchased, their allergy friendly option for everything cannot be beat! Can’t wait to come back, thanks for everything!!
