We ventured into this ice cream shop on a late afternoon stroll. All of the staff were friendly teenagers. My husband ordered and devoured a medium sized rocky road. I had a youngman surprise me with a flavor of his choice. After getting input from another employee they settled on lemon cheesecake. It literally had smashed cheesecake graham cracker crust and all. It was really sweet, rich, and delicious. The portions are generous and we got our money worth.
You wait in line and there is no sign posted anywhere with the flavors. So, when you get up to order, you have to try to get around all the people in front of you who are blocking the cases. The Ice cream flavors are handwritten, with no description and mostly unreadable. If you like really, really, really sweet Ice cream, they do give a decent size scoop for the money. The ice cream quality and selection is unimpeachable. Much better than Kilwins. Customer service is hit or miss, but the ice cream is so good it's worth.
The lemon cheesecase flavor is so perfect my daughter started ordering it for herself and she has the palette of a toddler. This is the first time a flavor has been so irresistible that she didn't order cotton candy or birthday cake. Cabanas made her grow up! She is 18 and can finally leave the house!
