Everybody had great food. The onion ring tower was cool and very good. I wasn't thrilled with my lake perch sandwich as it had 4 or 5 tiny, tiny fillets. I was expecting one thick fillet.
Our first date was at Clemmies in 1991. We have recently returned and gotten Onion rings - which are fantastic. However, tonight we both ordered meals. Mine was Tuscan Pasta and his was the lake perch. Both were disappointing. My pasta was just melted butter with garlic from a jar, a few pieces of spinach and diced tomatoes. That's it. No flavor - and garlic from a JAR! His perch was really salty and greasy and cost a fortune for the little pile of breaded fish pieces. Guess...
The onion rings are a must have. The mains by no means we're gourmet, but they weren't bad. Definitely a try once but not someplace I would go back to twice on a vacation.
