We arrived at the restaurant at 1. They close at 2. There were many empty tables. Two of us out of a group of four arrived and asked for a table. After a couple of aggressive questions from the hostess we suggested being calmer. At that time she said, obnoxiously, “you can’t come in to my restaurant and tell me how to act!” Naturally I was offended, especially since she was very rude to my brother-in-law. We walked out. Had my wife not been with me the hostess would have experienced quite directly what I thought of her. In sum, the food is ok but you might have to pass the abusive hostess to get it.

We live in Saugatuck and enjoy going for brunch occasionally. We recommend the cornmeal pancakes and blueberry muffins. The omlet/scrambles are fantastic. The winter hours significantly reduce their schedule (open Friday thru Sunday). Because it is so popular, in the summertime, you will have to wait to get in. The location, is right across the street from the water, and in summer there is lots of activity and the town is filled with love and romance. Great place to come with your loved ones. Food here is great. Must go even if you have to wait....it's worth it.

This place is so cute and open year round. I love meeting friends here for brunch. You may wait a bit, but you can go for a nice little walk. The coffee is good enough to drink black. The eggs are always prepared very well.

Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Ordered the Greek skillet, the eggs were just perfection, as was the sourdough toast. The wait for a table was long but well worth it.

This is a great little restaurant with hot fresh food and great service. We had breakfast on the patio. Corncakes were delicious. This is the way breakfast should be done. Inexpensive but very tasty.

With a view of the water and delicious meals, Idas is the best place to eat breakfast and lunch. The shirt wait time is not a concern with the Great views and waiting area.
