The food here is so good. I love coming here in the summer. Best fish in the area by far!

There was a long wait and then we got seated as far away from the water as possible and right near the back door. I got the walleye and it was loaded with bones. I couldn't take a normal bite since I had to fish them out the entire time so then I just stopped eating. No sympathy or apology from the server. Just, "It's like that sometimes." The sauce was pretty flavorless too.

We came to this restaurant 3 times on our visit in July- it was a vacation favorite and we will definitely be back. The food and location are just fantastic and so

The view is great. Nothing beats sitting by a river and getting some lunch. The food, however, was horribly overpriced, the special was an extremely small portion, and none of it had much going for it. It felt a bit kind a tourist

My visit to the Mermaid Bar and Grill in Saugatuck, MI, was a memorable experience. The location itself is fantastic, with a beautiful marina, boardwalk, and a stunning sunset view that adds to the charm of the place. However, I was a bit disappointed with the limited fish options on the menu, and my initial choice of halibut was unavailable. This happened again with my second choice. However, the server recommended the fresh cod fish, which I usually don't prefer, but it turned out to be exceptionally fresh and delicious. What truly impressed me was the server's friendly attitude, explaining that they prioritize serving only fresh fish, even if it means running out of certain options. I wholeheartedly agree with this approach. To start, we had the Calamari, which was cooked to perfection, and the drinks, while enjoyable, were on the pricier side. However, the dessert, the pumpkin cheesecake, was a delightful way to end the meal. Overall, the Mermaid Bar and Grill offers a great atmosphere, and their commitment to serving fresh seafood makes it a worthwhile dining destination.

Very good view, vibe, flowers, ambience but unfortunately not too many vegetarian dishes I wished there would have been.

fish taco was acceptable. would have been a 3 star review if the hanger steak wasn't over cooked
Lots of seating available along the river today and yet the hostess tried to seat us on the side of the building. (Unacceptable)
Tip suggestions on the bill range from 20% to 30%. If the management expects the patron to leave 30%, perhaps they should pay more. 20%, perhaps. 30%, come on, get real.
This place has gone down hill as far as customer service. Food , not bab.

Got about 25 jalapeño pieces and maybe 8 pieces of undercooked calamari for $20. Staff was nice, view as well.
