New Holland Spirits - Saugatuck Tasting Room

Ordered a couple beers and lunches...good food and good drinks, but the service was even better. Had chicken tenders with fries and a corn/poblano/bacon sandwich. Excellent quality both meals. Our server forgot my meal order & brought the wrong sandwich. She recognized her mistake, admitted it and brought me the correct food ASAP. I was totally happy with that - we all make mistakes! We don't live nearby, but wouldn't hesitate to go back & order more!

The bar was a filthy mess. Dirty glasses all along the bar. The bar area was unkempt and looked dirty. Made us nervous that other things might be dirty or unclean.

Fantastic cocktails! We each had two different cocktails, each amazingly presented and developed. I was able to try a new whiskey as well and even found a hard to find bottle of bourbon. I'll definitely stop by again and here first before the Holland location. Other than parking this was way easier to enjoy than the more crowded main location.

Only patio that doesn’t allow dogs. Server said it was because there was one incident last year. Asked if they will stop allowing kids with families too after a kid threw a dart in my leg last time; evidently it only goes one way.

Service could have been better. Had to wait in line (versus coming to our table). Requested drinks for here (glass vs plastic) and gave my name as instructed as they would call when drinks were ready. Drink were made in plastic cups and nobody called me, so they sat for a while. Also, they had a wheat which I typically like, but hadn’t tried theirs. A pour was $30 while the bottle was $99. I ended up not trying or buying a bottle as I can’t justify $99 for something I haven’t tried but didn’t want to pay $30 either. They could probably sell more bottles with a reasonably priced 1/2 oz pour - IMO

The bloody mary flight was fine (nothing special but it was good). The service was terrible. The bartender was rude and clearly annoyed we ordered the bloody mary flight

After coming from a terrible dinner, we saw this place and thought, let's get a drink and it looked really cool!
The bartender was great, he made me a rum punch that was not on the menu and my husband got the Painkiller. Both were delicious!! Mine was the pink drink.

Their website says they have Bloody Mary flights til 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. So we get there, and the bartender tells us he has nothing to make Bloody Mary's ... he might be able to find some Zing Zang mix, but nothing else. New Holland pulled those flights for the summer. Fine. We went elsewhere. And update your website.

Fun little spot for great drinks. Super nice bartender, Brie, who remembered our names and made great conversation. She even helped us decide where to go to dinner ( Lady Bird was a great call for vegetarians). The Dragon’s Milk Old Fashioned was delish. Brie was very knowledgeable and talked to us a lot about the drinks. Biggest complaint- there needs to be some food! I can’t sit and drink cocktails on an empty stomach! We would have stayed longer if there had been anything to eat besides potato chips. I know food is not the focus- but when you have people in their 40s who want to enjoy some drinks, we can’t do that for very long without food. Some basics like pretzels with mustard or hummus or tortilla chips or nuts would have been welcome. Also, on a nice day, the ambiance is a little lacking- moving seating towards the front might be a little more inviting. We did sit at the bar which was great.

Keep the bourbon seltzers!

My husband and I are huge Beer Barrel Bourbon fans. Since we were visiting the Saugatuck area, we thought we would pop in and try a cocktail or two. The server and the bartender were very friendly and knowledgeable. And the drinks were excellent. They have a large selection of different items for sale as well. Great atmosphere, and if we are ever back in the area, we would most likely stop in to taste another creation.

Mackenzie was amazing to my family and I. She made delicious cocktails and was so welcoming. Thank you so much Mackenzie! ♥️
