New Holland Spirits - Saugatuck Tasting Room

Just stopped into the New Holland Spirits tasting room in Saugatuck and had a fantastic experience. This spot is absolutely worth a visit if you’re anywhere near the area — especially if you’re into craft spirits or hard-to-find bourbons.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff behind the bar really know their stuff. I had a few pours of their higher-end bourbons — things you can’t just find on a store shelf — and I was genuinely impressed. Deep flavor, good complexity, and clearly made with care. I also appreciated that they had several tasting-room-only bottles available. These aren’t widely distributed, so it was cool to get access to something exclusive.

I ended up picking up two bottles of bourbon and a tasting glass as a souvenir. They even had a sign-up for their email list, which I joined on the spot — I want to make sure I get notified about future special releases or B Club offerings.

The staff was friendly, the pours were generous, and overall the experience felt personalized without being pretentious. Whether you’re new to bourbon or a seasoned hunter, you’ll find something here that stands out. I’d definitely come back the next time we’re in Saugatuck.

New Holland Distilling in Saugatuck is a cool little spot that's definitely worth a visit. They offer a wide variety of creative cocktails, all featuring New Holland's own spirits. While they don’t have their beers on tap here, the focus on their spirits makes for a unique tasting experience. You can also purchase bottles to take home, which is a nice bonus. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the overall atmosphere even more enjoyable. Great place to stop in for a drink while exploring Saugatuck!

I’m past years we’ve taken our two little dogs and sat on the patio (actually two tables in the street). Was ordering two cocktails this year and the bartender told us they don’t allow dogs in the patio. He offered that drinks could be ordered to go. I didn’t want to walk and drink a cocktail. That’s fine. I respect rules. I would suggest that the new no pet policy be posted. We are last year in Holland at the brewery on the patio and dogs were allowed. Great cocktails. They just didn’t get our business today.

The customer service was great! We came here two nights in a row after visiting for the weekend. The manager, Bo, makes amazing great craft cocktails. He made our experience memorable and even made some great zero proof drinks for me!

Not my best experience. Not busy, but we waited about 10 minutes at the bar before anyone acknowledged us. If you are in to tasting whiskey flights, look elsewhere. All pours are 1 ounce and priced separately. Building your own flight will get spendy. Pours were uneven and light. We tried the bonded Bourbon and the Malted Rye. I recommend this place for getting a cocktail and hanging out with friends.

Great martini. My fiance had the dragons milk old fashioned. Kept saying, it's really really good. Stop in if you get the chance. Worth the visit.

We had a wonderful time just sitting in the nice warm atmosphere of this tasting room. There drinks are great and I can't wait to get back this summer!! Thank you for a great time.

Ordered a couple beers and lunches...good food and good drinks, but the service was even better. Had chicken tenders with fries and a corn/poblano/bacon sandwich. Excellent quality both meals. Our server forgot my meal order & brought the wrong sandwich. She recognized her mistake, admitted it and brought me the correct food ASAP. I was totally happy with that - we all make mistakes! We don't live nearby, but wouldn't hesitate to go back & order more!

The bar was a filthy mess. Dirty glasses all along the bar. The bar area was unkempt and looked dirty. Made us nervous that other things might be dirty or unclean.

Fantastic cocktails! We each had two different cocktails, each amazingly presented and developed. I was able to try a new whiskey as well and even found a hard to find bottle of bourbon. I'll definitely stop by again and here first before the Holland location. Other than parking this was way easier to enjoy than the more crowded main location.

Only patio that doesn’t allow dogs. Server said it was because there was one incident last year. Asked if they will stop allowing kids with families too after a kid threw a dart in my leg last time; evidently it only goes one way.
