Stopped in after dinner, at the recommendation of a local, who he himself owns a high end establishment in Douglas. Drinks were cheap and well prepared. The vibe is old time 1970s dive bar, and the band was very good. Crowded with happy people.

This is the nest local dive bar in Saugatuck. Mixture of everything in here and everyone just minds their own business yet also very friendly. Bartenders are great. They have pool tables and music. Enjoyed many nights here with my husband after everything else closed.

We went to Saugatuck yesterday morning with another couple, and while shopping, we decided to stop in to The Sand Bar Saloon for a morning refresher. Dominic was our bartender and he kept us thoroughly entertained and in stitches with his witty but direct banter and his keen observational humor. He also can make an awesome "Dom Bomb"! We laughed so much and totally enjoyed our visit. It set a great tone for the rest of our day. Thanks, Dominic!!! You made our trip to Saugatuck fabulous!!!

Went for the music and stayed for the ambiance. Love the jazz quartet. Met some really fun locals at the bar. The bartender put Trailer Park Boys on the TV with subtitles. Glad to know it's a place where a single person can feel comfortable. What's not to like about a the coldest $5 beer in town?

If I could give zero stars I would. I never give bad reviews but my experience was THAT bad that I just have too. Your bartender Dominic is the rudest bartender I have ever encountered. He was mocking my friends and I, talking about our group with other customers, pointing at us, and arguing with me when I confronted him about mocking us??? I felt completely targeted for absolutely no reason. He was AWFUL. Set a horrible tone for our whole day. Would never ever be back.

While walking around town on a Sunday noticed the sign in the window that said open jam session at 3:00. In we went to check it out, and so glad we did!! This place has a great vibe. First off, it is cash only so be prepared. They do have a ATM on site for your convenience. Prices were decent, music was fun in lively. This place gets a lot of turnover come in have a drink leave, while others seem to be planted enjoying the jam session. Looking forward to visiting again for another great afternoon.
