Thursday night dining was not crowded, with an accommodating waitstaff. Pasta was pricy and delicious. Paella sadly was not traditional and way too salty. Pinot Noir was delicious and pricy.
Dinner last night was exceptional, my friend and I shared a delicious hummus appetizer then I had trout and my friend had paella, then we each had. Dessert, it was all really good and so much better than the usual fare available in Saugatuck. The service very good, especially as I knocked over my glass of wine and it was quickly and efficiently taken care of with a new glass of wine given. One other thing, you can make a reservation which is fantastic! Thank you!
Great variety of drink and food. We split the Artichokes and the Olive Taponade for starters. Then we each had the Potato Leak Soup. For our meal, we split the Ragu di Fungi. Topped it off with a couple of cannoli. TR is becoming our new favorite. I think they need to negotiate the lighting a bit. Direction of the spot lights and height of the high top fixtures. But, flavor was on point, and service was great - which is hard to get these days.
Inarguably the blandest $14 meatballs I’ve ever had. I managed to get down one. My partner half. We left the third. Our server ultimately didn’t charge us for them, which we appreciated, and asked us give the place another try sometime. We haven’t exactly an incentive to do so though. Not only are there way better restaurants in town but she offered no incentive.
The food was great. But as we were the second party to arrive for the evening, I didn't think it would take so long to get a drink. When drinks finally did arrive, two were incorrect and it took another 45 minutes for the corrected cocktails to arrive. The food was great, but gee. The server didn't know much about the entrees or prep and had to go ask someone on three occasions when we had a question. The server was pleasant enough, but didn't seem to have any training whatsoever. Exceptional food. Off-putting service, especially at premium prices.
Get the steak will worth the money
Taverna Rossa is a great choice for dinner in a casual atmosphere. The food was expertly prepared, and the wine and cocktail offerings were very good. I appreciate having the option to reserve a seating time. Knowing that the chef/owner is on site guarantees a wonderful dining experience. Looking forward to future visits.
Overall the food was poor. The cook on the potatoes was uneven, the soup was grainy and had separated, the crab cake was flat dense and oily and chewy. The front of house people were lovely. The biggest detractor was the kitchen staff eating out of the containers while preparing customers dishes. It is an open kitchen so they may want to be a bit more professional while cooking.
Nice quiet place to eat. I had the New York strip and it was perfect. The pita bread and hummus was sooo delicious. Great job chef!
Excellent. Paella delicious.

A good restaurant spoiled by bad management. Servers, even though trying their best under impossible circumstances, tried to accommodate a full restaurant with two servers and one wait person. No host or management on site despite a full restaurant on a Saturday. Owners and management should be ashamed of this. 4 stars for waitress and 1 star for owners/management.
Slow service, there was only one waitress. They should of explained to us they were short staffed. One waitress. Manager making drinks. Food was really good. Lots of kitchen staff standing around. They should of been able to help run food/drinks/bus tables.
The Bolognese was as good as Italy! Definitely worth your time & attention :)
Our meals were very good, the place is a little noisy. All was well up to the point of receiving our checks, there were 4 couples and therefore 4 separate bills. It was a total mess, took us 45 minutes to straighten things out. Wait staff needs more training on billing.
McDonald's quality, 5 star prices.
