Was looking for a quick stop to get a slice of cake for my son’s bday. Had the best latte of my life, amazing lemon lavender shortbread cookies—my son picked 6 because he’s turning 6 :). Baristas were absolutely lovely with suggestions. The entire place was charming.

At this point I have a photo album in my phone dedicated solely to Uncommon. These folks are actually craftspeople, the quality is insane! I have no idea how they do it, but this is actually the BEST shop I've ever been to in my life. But the drinks and food are only half of it, the other part goes to the staff and atmosphere. There's not a single coffee shop I've been to that has this high of a level of connection between pretty much everyone. The baristas and staff are always so happy and willing to chat it up, and this seems to seep into the community of folks that stop in from Saugatuck or surrounding areas, whether they're seasoned regulars or new visitors. I really believe the world needs more spaces like this, coffee shop or otherwise. Uncommon is such a treat, and I'm so grateful I live close enough to visit so often 💖 also, huge shout-out to Jenna for her suggestion on those charcoal tablets, homegirl saved my stomach!

Loved this little coffee shop. We had drinks and snacks each day for our Valentine's weekend. Service and drinks were good. I loved the uncommon lemonade. It was different each time, and that made it better. There isn't much room inside to sit down, but if you get a seat, it is a great atmosphere.

My favorite coffee shop on earth. When I come to Saugatuck, this is a daily stop! When I can't come I order coffee on the website so I get a little bit of Saugatuck at home! The best and I absolutely love their tote bag!!

It’s true the location and bones of the place make it super cozy but unfortunately the young ladies behind the counter (coffee and breakfast prep) could not have been more dour and surly. The people always made that shop what it was - fun, loud boisterous and they cared about your happiness. My heated quiche was still ice cold in the middle and when I asked if this was my coffee, the young woman said in the most dismissive tone that the name is on the slip- ouch! Might as well be at chain somewhere.
I’ve been coming here for 10 years, what a shame. Help is hard to find but it would be nice if they found people who gave a crap and enjoyed working in what used to be the cutest little shop in town.
