I’ve been here twice so far and not impressed with the beer. Most just aren’t good. Had their hazy ipa (pictured) and the water chemistry is way off leaving a chalky taste and the beer doesn’t even look good. Then had their Irish ale which wasn’t too bad, but way too malt forward for the style. The food wasn’t too bad and we overall had a good time there, but since the beer needs a lot of work, I’m giving this place 2 stars.

Very enjoyable brewhouse / restaurant. Pleasant staff and wonderful selection of beer on tap. Caution to the Wind stands out. Tastes like an ale you could have in a local Belgian brewery. Just good!

We visited during the summer and sat outside with our dog. We were happy to see they were dog friendly. We got beer and pizza and we're happy with both. There's a rooftop beer garden with a really pretty view of the water. It's very close to the locks, so you can see and hear the ships locking through. But watch out for the horns! They are super loud!

Cold draught beer, what more can I say ;-)12/30/23- great lunch. And a cold brew, Happy 2024!

Great beer and nice brewers. Don’t do the flight thing people should be able to commit to a beer. They are so annoying to pour

Great food, great service, and good beer! Definitely visit here if you are visiting the U.P.They don’t offer flights, but will let you taste anything prior to committing to a glass. Tasted 5 beers and my experience is that they range from good to excellent based on your palette.Only recommendation I would offer is to add a paid flight option to the menu.

Great spot, we love the rooftop deck.

Returned here after 8 years and everything has changed and not for the better. The entire look and feel of the place has changed. The wind and beer selections have been greatly reduced and they don't do flights. You can get a "taste" of beer for free or a "sample" of wine for $2. We had a beef and left disappointed.

Friendly, informative and good beer. I had an IPA & Irish Red. They just ran out of Peace Sign IPA, disappointing, I guess I will have to Soo them for running out. If you are in Sault Ste Marie, love beer, put it on your itinerary.

Our family stopped in for drinks and food while on vacation up north, and we had the best experience!!!Wonderful staff, great beer and excellent food! Everyone enjoyed themselves and loved chatting with the team behind the bar! We can’t say enough good things about Soo Brewing!

Tried 4 different beers... not goot at all. Was some of the worst I've had. Food was horrific. Pizza burnt to a crisp. Salt with a side of chicken fingers. Cardboard burger. Ceasar salad with chopped fried chicken fingers and a smattering of dressing. Honestly one of the worst meals in a long time. No one in our group had anything good to say. Staff was pleasant and seemed to genuinely want to do a good job though. E for effort.

Stopped by here with my wife and our dog because it was the closest place with a patio we could find. Really good beers, the best spinach artichoke dip we've had, and the chipotle chicken wrap was delicious, too. The staff was great and we enjoyed getting to hang out on a beautiful day. Would definitely come back here again on our next trip up north.

Great little location in beautiful Sault Ste Marie. The rooftop deck has amazing views of the Soo locks also. Really enjoyed the Laker Gold, and the wife enjoyed the black cherry wine. Bit of a strange operating concept in that there is no wait staff just a single bartender and kitchen staff. Brandon (not sure if he was the owner or not) was really knowledgeable about about the beers on tap and local happenings around town.2023 update. Stopped in again this week, still a great. Brewery with great beers, good to see Brandon still working here. Only. Negative I would point out is their lack of merchandise. Would love to get a hoodie or hat to wear when I travel.

Nice place for a quick brew and bite. They have a RYE beer. That is special.

We have traveled to many breweries and hats off for Soo Brewing. First, the beer cheese and huge pretzel was excellent. The cheese curds were great. However the beer was over the top for me. The Laker Blonde is the beer for the average drinker. I tasted the coffee stout and wheat raspberry and they are far better than any micro brews in Minnesota. I will definitely name drop Soo Brewery for any vacationers. They also have a dog friendly patio out front. Sorry Coffee porter.
