Lockview Restaurant

We had dinner there yesterday! Amazing Food and Server! Smiling, Friendly and Timely! 5 star experience! I've never had a bad meal there! Do yourself a favor...go!!

We stayed in the @Lockview Motel so naturally we tried out the restaurant. Amazing food, wonderful service, cocktails and beers over 2 days. All delicious ~ The Whitefish is very locally caught, had my first Pasty and a yummy Whitefish rueben. So, so good!!

Waitress was a bit rude, service was slow, prices a bit too high. Couldn’t comfortably accommodate a party of 9. Child’s Mac & Cheese is Kraft Mac & cheese.

I usually love lockview and never had a bad meal until today. I ordered a whitefish basket but was given & charged for a dinner. She asked me sides (fries & veggie of the day) which I thought was odd but not how I wanted it cooked. I also ordered a wrap which comes with fries. But received the wrap with fries, a fish dinner with rice & whitefish soup and I asked for ranch and lemons but didn’t receive them either. Was very disappointed in the flavor of the fish as well as my dinner overall. To make matters worse there phones are down so I had to go down to order and can’t even call before they’re closed.

This restaurant is in a very convenient location in the Locks area, making it a great spot to stop for a meal. The fish is incredibly fresh, be sure to ask for the catch of the day for the best experience. The side dishes are well-portioned, and the servings are generous. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. It’s a popular spot, and for good reason, the quality of the food is excellent. I highly recommend it!

Stopped in here 1st day a summer a few years back. Temp of 50 degrees with a gale warning off Lake Superior bringing wind chills in the 30s. Coming up from Southern Indiana this was our introduction to Yooper Summer.

No problem, we took shelter here in the Lockview Restaurant. As I recall I had a warm bowl of soup, while my wife and girls ate fish and chicken. All good.

We hoped for a Laker to go through the Soo Locks while we were there but the one that appeared stopped out on the water to await calmer seas.

Oh well, I hope to go back and when I do I predict another meal here.

This place is not handicap accessible, we wanted to eat there but was not able to eat there because my husband could not walk up stairs.

Got in an hour before closing for the season. SO glad we did! The smoked fish spread, fish chowder, and the whitefish wrap and basket were fantastic!!

100% a must if visiting the Sault. The walleye dinner is never the wrong choice.

Wonderful find right across the street from the Soo locks. Service was quite prompt and our particular waiter was very friendly and helpful. I had the best deep fried Lake Perch that I have ever had and my wife said much the same about her whitefish basket. Even the fries were quite outstanding! We were nearing the end of a week-long road trip so we are not from the area but we certainly will come here again the next time we are.

We loved our dinner at Lockview! I had the Cajun whitefish dinner with the soup of the day and potato. My whitefish was awesome! Fresh and flavorful. My husband (who usually doesn’t like fish a lot) really enjoyed his whitefish tacos. The drinks were also excellent. Highly recommend!
