This is a great independent pizzeria. Their regular crust pizzas look delectable and their gluten free crust was very tasty. The Chicago style deep dish was great! Lots of cheese like it should be. Their crusts are wonderful. The sauce is on the sweeter side, so if that’s not your thing, be warned.
I honestly have mixed feelings about this place. Ordered the "deep dish" which was just 2 pizzas one on top of the other like a pizza sandwich with sauce on top. Was kind of bummed that is was like that, and that it took 45 minutes to get it "because they cooked 2 pizzas and put them together" Pizza places around here a dime a dozen, but I can appreciate someone going out on their own and trying to make a better and more unique product. I feel like the sauces...
I love North of Chicago. The pizza is always delicious and the staff is super kind and helpful. I’ve never had an issue with an order or at least if there was one I never knew. My only complaint are the bubbles, too many bubbles in the pizza. (: But otherwise, it’s so yummy!!
