Absolutely horrendous everything about it from the overcooked chicken to the rude server

Very disappointed. It’s been years since we last visited, and we thought we’d give it another try—big mistake. That was our last time.
I wish I had taken a picture. The fried chicken came out looking burnt on the outside, yet the inside was raw… bloody raw. Absolutely unacceptable.
Service was pretty much non-existent. We had to literally track down the bartender—while sitting at the bar—just to send the food back, get our check, and anything else we needed. No check-ins at all, though honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted to claim that plate either.
And to top it all off, the cook came out to punch out and casually told the bartender he was sick and hasn’t felt well for days. GREAT… so the person cooking our food is sick on top of everything else.
Overall, a terrible experience from start to finish.
I do have to say they took the chicken away and removed it from the bill.

I should probably lower the rating. This place WAS one of our local favorites. We didn't have a wait. We sat next to the open door close to railroad. Dead bugs on windows ledge, flies, and bees flying around. We did order, the Cubano and loaded tater tots. Ate very little because of flies and bees. Took the food home and ended up throwing it out. The idea of flies inside the restaurant and who knows how many could be in the kitchen. Now I understand why it looks empty more often when I drive by. Very bummed.
I stopped in to pick up a couple of growlers. To my surprise and disappointment, Greenbush stooped to the low level of deriding the POTUS by using a silhouette of Trump with the phrase "world leader pretend" on the back. Of course they're entitled to their opinion, but did you learn nothing from the Bud Light Dylan Mulvaney catastrophe? I will not support a brewery that hates me and hates America.
I recall this brewery being better in the past. The beer was mediocre, at best. While no defects were tasted, they were poor to style and boring. The food was even worse. The cheeseburger was way overcooked and bland. The lettuce in the salad was old w brown edges. The server was young and didn’t know the beers well, which were overpriced. I still planned on tipping 20%, but 20% was not one of the standard tips on their credit card machine - it stated at 22% and went up. I had to weave my way through the menus and calculate 20% and hand edit it. I will not return to this brewery. Sadly, there are too many breweries in Michigan that have become crappy.

We came back to Greenbush because we’d had a good experience years ago, but this visit was disappointing. Our server forgot to put in our appetizer, and while she apologized, nothing was offered to make up for it. The burgers were overcooked, the mac and cheese was bland and watery, and the Cajun mashed potatoes had a rubbery texture. Overall, not a great experience.

I placed an order for takeout and ordered the 3 meat barbecue platter. I live in St Joseph MI, and when I got home there was no barbecue sauce. The meat was delicious, but was very dry. I called and the associate asked me if I wanted to come back and get the barbecue sauce. I live 20 miles away and could not do that and should not have to. He then put me on to the manager. She had the audacity to tell me it’s about the meat not the barbecue sauce. Needless to say on their website it’s not listed under meats, it’s listed under Bar-B-Que. The manager was rude and not understanding at all. Instead of saying I’m so sorry. We messed up. She proceeded to tell me it’s all about the meats and her husband is the owner. I don’t know why that matters. Anyone can smoke meats, it’s about the BBQ sauce. What has happened to customer service these days? This establishment has gone way down hill; as noted in their lack of customers. I will not be back. $50.00 is a lot of money to not receive what you ordered. Very disappointing to look forward to your meal and not receive what you should have. A sorry would have went a long way. Management needs to learn how to take care of their customers! Terrible! We will not be back. Care about your customers!!!

The best smoked brisket in the state is found on the border. Better than any others found in/around Detroit. It’s a must-stop on your way to or from Chicago. For beers, can’t go wrong with the Distorter Porter and for your side, go with the cucumber salad.
