The best smoked brisket in the state is found on the border. Better than any others found in/around Detroit. It’s a must-stop on your way to or from Chicago. For beers, can’t go wrong with the Distorter Porter and for your side, go with the cucumber salad.
We had a very nice experience here. They have high top kids' highchairs available for their high top tables, so we didn't have to wait for a regular table to open up. The burger special was delicious, as well as the other food that we ordered. There are many unique things to try. We ordered applesauce for our baby, and it was so good that we ate some too. The servers did a great job. We also saw several dogs outside on the patio, so it seems that they accommodate pups...
I would argue that Star Chicken Shotgun and their BBQ is the best combination of beer and food you can find in Michigan. Everything we had was great, I’m not a big baked bean kind of guy but I could eat the entire bowl. The Irish Red was also great! I will say, one speaker wasn't working as intended and omitted a high pitch every few seconds, I hope they fix that soon!
