It was only once, or should I say the first time! It was the last day of the season and it was a couple of hours before closing in Labor day 2025. The service was spectacular, and the price. For serving size, I had a hand dipped medium, and for the quantity, it is well worth the drive for me.

My daughter and I stopped by and had a great time! The ice cream was absolutely delicious she loved it, and so did I. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

Positive: the staff was nice , had good ice cream selection
Cons: the inside smelled, it was dirty. Garbage on the floor, tables had cobwebs all over in the corners and bugs. I had to tell my son not to turn around because he might get his ice cream caught in one. The fountain machine does not work (looks like for a long time)and had bugs on that. Paint chipping everywhere and falling off. They need to update the building inside. Cleaning goes along way.

This is one great ice cream place. It has friendly service and the best ice cream in the area. The portions are large and the prices are affordable. Next time you're in schoolcraft check out the Big Dipper you won't be disappointed!

Had a scoop of the coconut ice cream and it didn't disappoint. The coconut was savory and toasted to perfection.
The small cup was generous and easily accommodated 2 big scoops.
I nearly missed this hidden gem driving by, wanted to treat my mom on Mother's Day and almost passed it because it didn't pop up on maps and the signage was poor. I'm not completely sure how I knew it was an ice cream place but went around the block to confirm it was open and specialized in ice cream.

I’ve gone to the Big Dipper once a year with my family after an annual family event. This place is more than just an ice cream spot for us. The ice cream is delicious, and portions are huge. I can’t wait to take my own children here.

I do wish there was still seating inside. But this place is always a hit. I highly recommend getting a dipped cone, they can dip any flavor of the tub ice cream too. ? top notch

So many flavors of ice cream. I will have to go many more times to try them. Hot fudge shake is awesome. They have an area outside to enjoy your ice cream. Very nice place with great customer service. Worth driving from Kalamazoo to enjoy it.
