Monarca’s has some of the best birria in Kalamazoo! Food was tasty, service was great, prices were very fair, and the food came quick. These birria tacos were great because they still had a bit of crunch on the outside, without it being overly soft and mushy like some places. The owner was very nice as well, and even let me try their homemade ice cream. The guava and coconut flavors were great! Make sure to support your local small businesses, and give this place a try!
Consistently high quality Mexican food and a delicious selection of desserts.I would highly recommend anyone looking for good, quick food to stop by if they’re passing through Schoolcraft. Nice sitting area outside and easy to get to.

The food here is top notch. One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants around. The quesabirrias and shrimp tacos are amazing, pair them with a jarritos and you won’t be disappointed!Staff is very nice, and restaurant is clean and nice looking.Parking: Good amount of parking with good visibility and access to the main road as well as a secondary street
