This is one great ice cream place. It has friendly service and the best ice cream in the area. The portions are large and the prices are affordable. Next time you're in schoolcraft check out the Big Dipper you won't be disappointed!
Had a scoop of the coconut ice cream and it didn't disappoint. The coconut was savory and toasted to perfection.
The small cup was generous and easily accommodated 2 big scoops.
I nearly missed this hidden gem driving by, wanted to treat my mom on Mother's Day and almost passed it because it didn't pop up on maps and the signage was poor. I'm not completely sure how I knew it was an ice cream place but went around the block...

I’ve gone to the Big Dipper once a year with my family after an annual family event. This place is more than just an ice cream spot for us. The ice cream is delicious, and portions are huge. I can’t wait to take my own children here.
