I was under the impression that I was receiving an 8 corner pizza, you know, 2 small 4 corners. Got what I would consider a medium Detroit style pizza. Or, boutique size, as my friend said. Big disappointment. Go to Jets Pizza!

Went to the Shelby location last night for dinner. Usually, we go to the Troy restaurant which can have hit or miss service. Bigger than the Troy location and we got sat right away. Server was awesome and attentive. Both the Hawaiian pizza and the pepperoni pizza were great. It should be known that the Hawaiian pizza has BBQ sauce on it (we didn't read the menu). The antipasto salad was standard. The Buddy bread fresh and great. Got a cup of the minestrone soup and that was delightful! What a nice surprise. Lastly, ordered the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. Was good as well. They had Sam Adams Cherry Wheat on tap which is my fav. All of this to say it was a great dinner!

I've been waiting to go back to Buddy's for some time now as I have been back for some time. This was my first time trying the Shelby location and right off the bat, it was massive inside. You have your typical Buddy's style decor with nice nods to Michigan all over the wall. My party was seated promptly and the service was great. We ended up ordering the Spicy Italian, the Henry Ford, and the Detroiter. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with the crust as it didn't seem to get as much of a rise/wasn't as thick as I remembered from other locations. But other than the crust, everything was still up to standard. The cheese and toppings across all three were great and always, and the Henry Ford with the Blue cheese was a pleasant surprise (first time trying). Overall great experience.

I L♡VE Detroit style pizza & Buddy's was always my favorite, but TBH their Pizza has unfortunately, REALLY gone downhill recently; I feel that they've become very overrated ? & overpriced?! I have spent quite a lot of money at Buddy's only to be disappointed & annoyed at the end product I've gotten for about a whole year!I've even tried to bring my issues & concerns up to management, & while I believe they cared - & may have even "sort of tried" to make things better, they unfortunately very much missed the mark - & definitely didn't (or couldn't???♀️) make things any better, so I've had to "get my fix" for Detroit style pizza elsewhere; & so I've been driving way out to Hazel Park at LEAST once a week to order from Loui's which is NOW become my very favorite Iconic Detroit Style Pizza Place & has my new favorite Detroit Style Pizza!Yes, It's a long drive to Hazel Park from Clinton Township to get Loui's (*especially considering that there is a Buddy's Pizza in walking distance from our new condo?), but it's definitely worth the drive for their amazing pizza out there (they unfortunately ONLY have the ONE location, but then maybe that's part of the reason why they are so good!?!??♀️)- In any case, Buddy's Pizza definitely has some work to do if they want to be great again! ???

The Detroit Zoo pizza is awesome. The roasted tomatoes really made the difference! A person in my group asked for the Greektown pizza with Diya cheese but it came out with feta. Justen, our server, was super friendly and on top of everything we needed. Justen handled the incorrect pizza quickly and took it off our bill. Great experience with an excellent & fun server.

Visited March 1st 2024 @ 7:00pm. (Friday)Easy parking, immediate seating, and great service. Our waiter was great. Tall, skinny dude, great attitude, amazing server.I hated the veggie sampler. I just didn't do it for me. I thought it was bland and made my stomach uneasy. But no worries, because not far behind was the pizza, the star of the show. BOOM, HOMERUN, KNOCKED OUT OF THE PARK. SO GOOD ! I love anchovies and they had really good anchovies. So I was very happy. THANK YOU ! ! !I will be back.
