I always buy cakes and cookies on the holidays this year was very disappointed when you pay 70.00 for one cake you would like what you have always gotten consistently this year was a big disappointment. I spent over 200.00 for Easter I have a big family and I do this all the time. I bought a basket weave cake its usually beautiful not this year this cake had less flowers on top the weave basket was white what happened to the quality???? I have pictures of past cakes even the egg cake they cut corners on not at all what it wanted I have a big family and we have gone to Christine's way before they moved there and they were always good. My family comments were not good as well the egg cake was not in pastels just like the basket weave it was bold colors not pretty at all. The easter lily was gone replaced with a bright hot pink rose tacky. And no sparkles on top cutting corners does not make people want to go back and want to spend that kind of money the basket is usually light yellow with a light pink trim on the bottom was all white and the flowers were a light pastel this is not what I wanted to pay for. I was totally disappointed and so was my sisters who bought cakes and cookies for there families you lost a customer forsure I will go to 8 mile and little Mac to purchase my cakes. Joseph's French pastries.They are always consistent with their cakes. And they always present a beautiful cake. I'm very upset with how you have let your products slip this is a bust time I know but that's when you want to shine thats when people get together who have never had your cakes and ask where you got them I would not recommend you guys now and it's sad. I never write reviews but this upset me and money I spent was alot for two cakes ,cookies , scones, eclairs, gluten free cookies, and some other pastries. I hope this changes I really do because it's not good for your business at all and I consider myself a loyal customer that has chsnged.

Christine's is the absolute BEST. Our family has been going here for over a decade now. We trust them like family and they handle all our special occasions, including our wedding (the most gorgeous cake ever!) and most recently, our son's 1st birthday! Diana is absolutely WONDERFUL to work with, and created the perfect "Pot O Gold" cake for his party, along with a larger poured chocolate cake, macaroons, and cupcakes! We had people fighting to take the last pieces home. We're so grateful to Christine's for making all our special occasions extra special!

My young son loves playing the drums & really wanted a rock'n-roll 80's era birthday party for his big day. His party was less than a week away and I couldn’t find any bakery that could accommodate a cake with the Muppets character Animal busting out of a snare drum head.That is, until I found Christine’s Cakes & Pastries! I told them what I envisioned, and they assured me that this could be done with no problem. Note, I honestly had my reservations with them or actually any bakery being able to pull this crazy idea off.That said…THEY DID INDEED PULL IT OFF and the cake was BEYOND SPECTACULAR!! A real show stopper!!I couldn’t be happier with their service and skills!!

I'm not one to give a review. Been going to Christine bakery for years. Went to to get an Easter cake. They had an egg shaped in the case that said demo on it. Asked if I can order one. This is Thursday morning I was there. She said no not taking anymore orders the cut off date was yesterday. So asked if I can get a chocolate poured cake decorated with flowers she also said no. So I ended with a chocolate pour cake with Happy Easter on it. Asked for a chocolate sprinkle cupcake and a cherry whippie cake also. Got home gave me a multi sprinkle cupcake no whippy cake. Asked her why the Easter egg was still in the case if you can't order one. She said we don't have time to take it out of the case. They weren't busy just me and another costumer. Very disappointed.

I have always enjoyed their cakes, I’m not sure if they freeze them and sell them? Got a cake today and it tasted old and was very cold. Guessing it was thawed out? Disappointing. Stale cake and frosting tasted like burned butter I literally spit it out.

I've been going to Christine's since their shop was on Garfield. The poured Chocolate cakes are delicious. I've gotten my birthday cake and cookies there every New Years Eve for the past 15 years. My daughter's Winter wedding cake was a hit at the reception. We've gotten our Baby and Bridal Shower treats there too. It's the BEST BAKERY in town!!! I would highly recommend them.

If they could only tell me “I’m sorry we don’t know how to make the cake you want” i would understand. But the price i paid for a little cake that wasn’t even a heart shape like i wanted, made my day ruined. I have had gathered so many people for the gender reveal, and when I went to pick up the cake, the lady was like “this is your cake, but it’s not a heart, i don’t know what happened” and “if you don’t like it you can leave it and we will refund you the money back”.LEAVE IT???? Seriously??? What a disaster. Here’s a picture of what I ordered and what I got. $32.25 for what? Never again!
I was So out done. I ordered a carrot cake for Christmas called 3wks in advance. I called back Several times to confirm they had the order. Go to pick up the cake ? No cake. Stayed Therefore, about a 1/2 an hour. No cake. I was quite upset seeing that it was the holiday. So I left no sooner than I arrived Home. Guess who calls the bakery wanted to know why I didn't pick up my Cake.I will not Patronize this business anymore.

It was my first time ordering from Christine's for my daughter's 30th birthday and was not disappointed. The chocolate cheesecake torte with raspberry filling was out of this world. It's hard to find a bakery anymore that you can tell is using the best ingredients and their buttercream tastes like real homemade buttercream, light fluffy and buttery. Perfect compliment to this type of cake.I would strongly recommend Christine's and will be back whenever I need a cake or cupcakes and also to just try some of their other goodies I saw on display! Yummy! Thank you!
