My husband,son and I came into Detroit taco company today and we were so disappointed in the food. We each got different items. I got the Michigan bowl, my husband got the nachos and cheese and my son got the Gratiot wrap. The food was beyond BLAND. The chips were cold. My meal was cold all the way through. For the price of the food the quality is severly lacking. We spent 77.00 on three dishes. We spoke with the manager and explained that the meal was awful all the way around and his only response was "what do you want me to do about it?" I do not recommend this place at all.

Don’t come here. Soon as I walked in staff was rude. Kid behind counter said what are you picking up and I said yes for a quesadilla Then some dude with glasses and a dirty look on his face came over and said we don’t have no quesadilla bro. Seriously vibes were not good soon as I walked in. Rude ass people. Then he’s comes out in the lobby and goes to the pick up shelf which I didnt see. And hands me the quesadilla they didn’t have The food was kids meal portions. Barely any filling. Avoid this place at all costs. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants that are actually polite have customer service and food is worth the money. 86 to this location for 12 dollars I can go somewhere else and get a real meal

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times and I personally just don’t get it with this place. For the price you pay the food just isn’t that great or unique.
You can go to almost any taco truck in southwest detroit and get a significantly better tasting larger burrito for less.
I will say the service is generally excellent though.

This place is awesome. Food is fresh and tasty. The people are top notch. The atmosphere is casual. If you go, just go hungry.
Vegetarian options: dishes can be had with vegetables, beans, and rice if you are meat free. Tip, ask for both types of beans. Corn tortillas are an option for Gluten free as well.
I must say that the artwork within this restaurant is truly breathtaking and pays homage to the culture. The food was good. There were vegan options which included veggies and guacamole. However there is no vegan meat alternative. I opted for the vegan bowl with rice and beans however I did not ask if the rice was cooked in chicken stock that’s some thing I would ask. The staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurant was absolutely spotless.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available however I would make sure that the rice was not cooked in chicken stock.
Parking: Ample parking spot surrounding the establishment
