10000000000 out of 10 would recommend this place. Depending what u get it can be pricey but it's so worth it. We drove almost two hours to try this place and will be doing it again. Our waitress was great. Restaurant is super cute. And food is top notch. We are now obsessed with their seafood boils. It was my birthday present to myself to go here.

Some of these bad reviews don’t seem right I go all the time and never had a bad experience and if I didn’t like anything they fixed it for me. Hook and Reel has nobody working there with long black hair. I always have a wonderful experience there with my food and the staff. Obviously there is a disgruntled employee who recently got fired that is posting fake reviews on here. People have their own way to try and ruin a good business for no reason. But that’s why I’m on my way to get get me a good seafood boil!

We ordered 2 large catches. We are regulars there and absolutely love the food and their generous quantity. When we got home, one of the large catch had an inch knot of human hair in the food, soaked in the sauce. It was nauseating.
We called the store and then had to call back for the manager. The manager initially said it could be muscles hair and to text photos and a video. Then responded- no one in the kitchen has long hair but we will remake the food.
I said we don’t want the food remade, we ordered dinner somewhere else.
Not only it is completely unprofessional to passive aggressively throw the blame on me, it’s also completely disgusting that it’s not being acknowledged or handled. This is so unsanitary. Of course we do not want more food.

This was our first time trying Hook and Reel. Our waitress Lainey was incredible. She explained everything so clearly and thoroughly. One of the people in our party has an allergy to margarine and she made sure that all of her food was made with real butter. It was very refreshing to eat at a restaurant that care d so much about their customers experience. The food was very very good. I would highly recommend seeing Lainey at Hook and Reel on Hall road.

My son and I went in this afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was an awesome experience. All the servers, hosts and even the owner come past the table either greeting you or smiling at you. We were there in time for the happy hour menu and enjoyed all the food we ordered! Our server was Lainey but she rallied up the other staff for my son’s birthday song! Austin, Kayla G and Renae were amazing at making my kiddo feel special! It was unlike anything other restaurant I have been to. From the tablecloth you can draw on, to the bucket they give you with silverware, bins, gloves and napkins. All in case you get messy from their seafood boils! I will 100% be going back and telling everyone I know about this place!

Purposely Pretty Collection
Hook & Reel has become one of my favorite seafood spots I’ve been coming there for about a year now. I was recently in and asked about my very first server I had ( Yvette ) when I first visited hook & reel just to be told she was recently terminated I was very disappointed not only was she the only African American person I seen working there every time I stopped in but the personality she had I’ll never forget Yvette was an amazing person her first impression was so welcoming & warm and now that she’s no longer there I’ll probably never go be back!
