Best Mexican food in Metro Detroit.

This was my third time here. I am sad to say the food was not very good this time. I had a burrito with chicken. It was just OK. The red sauce was very sweet and I did not like that. The rice was very bland and so were the refried beans.
The prices were in line with most Mexican restaurants. Chips are not complimentary. A basket with a very small cup of salsa was $4.

The food is certainly authentic and so delicious

Poorly managed.

No price stickers on items.

Cooks don’t follow United States Health Department guidelines. No hat or hairnets.

Amazing tacos, drinks and fajitas. They make delicious goat tacos and chicharron tacos with translates to pork rind tacos. Seriously recommend you trying them!! Also wonderful welcoming customer service!!

I used to come before they had a second location. One of my favorite places to get authentic tacos. Their menudo is great also! Just got it again to refresh my memory and still so good. I love the market area. Menudo doesn’t take gamey and has a lot of stomach in it. So good! Wish they gave the traditional garnishes with it but luckily I had some at home! So good.

I love this place

I doubt their is a better location outside of the Mexican town markets in Detroit that caters to latin american cooking as well as Las Tortugas. extensive collection of dried chile peppers, fresh herbs, veggies, fruits, prepared meats and cooking materials.. all in all its a great experience.

it sounds small but the chips and salsa are my favorite ( best i ever had) .. I always get 2 bags.

Amazing tacos, maybe the best in Macomb county. Tres leches cake was also very good. Very fair price too.

I came in late on a Sunday not realizing the kitchen closed early and they were kind enough to make me some tacos last minute.

We eat here all the time, great food this time around we ordered our tacos with salsa on the side. Once we left we realized we had no salsa. Sent one of our guys back to get the salsa and they made us pay $3 for salsa that was already paid for and wanted to argue about it makes no sense. Get it together, there are other places to eat around here that are just as good

Great with helping if unfamiliar. One of my favorite spots to get tamales and all other Mexican authentic products like Mulè.

I think people are confusing the Store and the Taqueria. The Taqueria was good. The store was not.I came in based on the reviews saying this was as good as the menudo in Texas. Spoiler alert it was not. I just moved up here from Texas so i think I am a good judge on this one. I have been trying to find my Sunday menudo replacement I used to have back in TX for months and still nothing in Michigan compares.First, the ordering process is a bit clunky. I am never sure if I need to form a line to order and then get back in line in between the crates of vegetables again to pay. This seems like an easy fix. Just pay when you order and step aside for pick up.Second, the menudo actually tasted somewhat burnt. It was overcooked to oblivion and just a mushy mess. It also seemed like it was not cleaned right and the fat was not trimmed before cooking. Hence the 3/8" layer of grease floating on top.Third, the menudo was a bit bland and had no actual menudo. 90% of the "meat" was pata and fat. I was never asked if I wanted pata they just put it in there. Some people like it but I dont. Most places ask if you want it. To be honest I am not sure what kind of "meat" it was. Hard to tell since it was over cooked and everything looked the same. On the left is the fat/pata that I could not eat. On the right was the actual menudo maybe?I have given this place too many chances and the result is the same. $12 for this mush is just not worth it. I cant speak for the other items here as I have only tried the menudo. I guess for now I will just have to keep making it at home.

Best place to buy Tamales!! Get them on the weekends and they are super fresh and still hot (temperature). Usually they are right at the counter. Just ask the cashier.
