Beer is great.. right now there is no one here...but it is Thursday and I bet they get some foot traffic. Come for the beer for sure. Have not sampled food

This is an excellent brew pub. The beers are so fresh and delicious. The Porter and Cherry Sours are my favorite, and their many other offerings go well with their fantastic burgers. Probably the best brew pup that I know of. Really cool speakeasy lounge is open on the weekends.

Staff is friendly and the service is comfortable. Tried a houee specialty pizza and it was fabulous. Bonus with the dog friendly patio. And oh, let's not fail to mention the craft brews and hand made drinks!

Have to change my review about this place. The owner accused me of stalking his employees just because I would originally come in once or twice on a weekly basis, mostly Saturday nights. This place most likely has no valid proof, or documentation that I did such a thing. Just the owner's claim that 100% of the times I came in were nights that a certain, unnamed server was working.
Odds are that claim isn't likely true. What's worse is that this business attacked me with these horrible comments in an attempt to hurt, and slander me. After reading them, I have a strong inkling of who the owner was referring to. Funny thing about the owner's statements is that the staff had already told me months before the incident first occurred that the employee I suspect the owner was referring to had already quit her job there back in 2017, and that she is no longer works there. If the owner is referring to the same individual, I know right off the bat that all his claims are wrong.
Please, save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. I'd hate to see anyone else be attacked in store, and online with these type of statements. I don't know why the owner is doing this, but I'm not going to let this business get away with this.
FYI, I've been going to this place for over three years, and I have never had a single issue with any of the staff until the day of the incident. This place has been around for almost 20 years and this was our first time. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and they offered us a private room, “The Hop Room”. We can’t say enough about the food, staff, and overall experience. We’re beer nerds, so our party basically tried every beer on tap. I should have gotten a growler of the Disco Lemonade. All of the brews were SOLID. Between burgers, pizza, apps, and their craft sodas, everything was on point. Not one person in our party had an issue with their food or drinks. Except for a small sample of their grapefruit mead. That’s a no from me dawg. But seriously, everything and I sincerely mean EVERYTHING else was on point. Our server was fantastic and on the spot with everything. Show this place some love.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our graduate’s open house than Sherwood Brewery. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make the event seamless and enjoyable. The atmosphere was perfect—warm, welcoming, and spacious enough for all of our guests to feel comfortable. The service team was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making the day special. Everyone raved about the drinks and the setup, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly so we could simply enjoy celebrating with family and friends. Hosting here took all the stress out of planning, and we’re so glad we chose Sherwood. Truly a top-notch experience that we’ll remember for years to come!

Been here a few times in the past and I can say the food is pretty quality relative to other bar food. Always a big fan of the cheese bread and the breadtzels that my actual entree ends up being a take-home meal. The Detroit soda is also super good.
Only complaint about the place is that the scheduled operating hours have an asterisk to it. We went Sunday last week and hadn’t remembered the whole “reservations-only” syntax to Sunday openings. Please try to elucidate this online.

We had our son’s graduation party here and they were amazing! The space was perfect and I can’t say enough about the food and service. Lisa is so great to work with and so helpful! And Delaney and Emily were our servers and they were fantastic, as well! Highly recommend you check them out for your next event.
