Absolutely the best Mexican food in Michigan. We stopped there this evening for the first time and were very impressed. Very clean, friendly and super delicious food. We haven't had such good Mexican food since we lived in the south. So happy we found this place so close to home. We will be back.

This is one of those I hate to do because I don’t like any of you enough to be willing to share this food.After spending the winter in Texas five years ago, I learned there is no Mexican food in Michigan! Places I used to think were a Nine in Michigan were actually a 4 when compared to Mexican food in Texas. Of all the places to find awesome Mexican food? Oil City! How is that possible?I have driven by Taqueria Soto many times. A quick glance at goggle maps shows a rating of 4.8. Today I decided to try going there for lunch.I expected the place to be a dive inside. It is not. Very clean, neat, and simple. Some Mexican groceries and nick-nacks are prominently displayed. The menu has a nice assortment of choices. When my wife and I try a new place, we try to order at least 3 different things to get a varied number of choices. Today, it was a steak burrito, chicken gorditas, and a chicken quesadilla. Turning a couple into dinner added rice and beans.Tortillas – made fresh, perfectly cooked to order.Meat – Wonderful flavor and texture.Vegetables – crisp fresh lettuce and tomatoAvocado – Fresh cut and pristineRice and bean – Made fresh and delicious. I have not enjoyed anything close to this good since Texas.I want to head back right now and sample the rest of the menu.Mexican music playing, appropriate décor, and charming staff. Sergio was the consummate host. I wish I could give 6 stars.And yes it looks so good we were already eating before we took pictures!

Very very good authentic Mexican restaurant, I didn't expect such great food, and the service was outstanding, I arrived at 10 minutes to closing time and they were as friendly and polite as can be......my hats off to you.....

Best to call ahead to make sure they're open regardless of what website says. We went there last night at 5:30 and they were not open. Tuesday per FB hours are 11a-7p. Not a very good thing to do if they want to stay in business.
